Look how this client felt after just one appointment…
One of the things I love most about acupuncture is that we’re not “forcing” the body to heal… we’re reminding it how.
While I can’t guarantee specific results with every condition, injury, or disease, this I know for certain:
Acupuncture stimulates the nervous system, increases circulation, moves Blood and Qi, reduces inflammation, relaxes tight muscles and fascia, and helps regulate the body’s stress response.
When acupuncture needles are placed in the body, receptors are stimulated that send signals through the nervous system and brain. This triggers physiological responses throughout the body:
* blood vessels dilate and circulation increases
* oxygen and nutrients are delivered more efficiently to tissues
* endorphins and natural pain-relieving chemicals are released
* muscle tension begins to release
* inflammation decreases
* the nervous system shifts out of “fight or flight” and into a more restorative parasympathetic state
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we describe this as restoring the smooth flow of Qi and Blood so the body can return to balance.
Often people come in for one concern and notice improvements in multiple areas like sleep, stress, digestion, menstrual cycles, headaches, tension, energy, emotional regulation. The body is deeply interconnected.
Healing looks different for everyone, but the body has an incredible ability to regulate and repair when given the right support.
I never take for granted the trust my clients place in me. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your healing journey.
