Steve’s Story

He is a Registered Social Worker (SASW registration #4050) with degrees in Social Work, Psychology and Special Education and a certificate in Addiction Studies. His counselling career began in the early 1990's treating at-risk youth with multiple problems such as addictions and troubled family lives. He has been fortunate to have had many opportunities to develop his clinical skills in numerous settings, including mental health clinics, drug and alcohol rehabs, schools and also a domestic violence program. Steve was also the Clinical Director of a community Family Counselling agency.

By using a personable yet professional style of rapport building, Steve believes the counselling process starts with a trusting relationship. Relying on years of experience and training, he has the ability to choose from several evidence-based modalities depending upon where his client is at and how they best understand their world. One size does not fit all.

Steve offers affordable, private and confidential services for individuals, couples and families in the Battlefords’ area. He can often accommodate same-day bookings and offers flexible hours to fit your schedule.
