Office Closure Notice – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, our office will be closed on Tuesday, September 30th.

This day honours the children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities. 🧡

It is a time for reflection, learning, and commitment to reconciliation.🧡

We encourage everyone to take this opportunity to engage with the history and legacy of residential schools and to wear orange in support of the “Every Child Matters” movement.🧡

In August, our SHA Partners and our CMHA team welcomed the mental health family to a BBQ at Rotary Park. It was a beautiful day, with great food, great fun, and a great way to connect and spend time together. One of our member participants went home with a beautiful gift basket, and ten others received gift cards for engaging in our 'Getting to Know" activity.

We are so thankful to community supporters such as Hawtin Plumbing Services that provide us opportunities to connect with our Mental Health partners, our members, our members caregivers and our staff groups and board members in such a meaningful and impactful way!

Thanks to the SHA and CMHA teams for their generosity of time and support to deliver this amazing time together.

Let's change the narrative on Su***de. We call on all to challenge harmful myths, reduce stigma, and foster open, compassionate conversation about su***de.

In 2021, SK recorded 13.8 deaths by su***de per 100,000 people, ranking SK as having one of the highest rates in Canada's provinces and territories. Per Caring Hearts.

Today, Sept. 10th, World Su***de Prevention Day, lets hold space for those we have lost to su***de. We encourage those in the Battlefords to light a candle in memory, in honor and ins support as a symbol of hope.

Check in with those around you, those who appear to be struggling and those who appear to have everything together. If you are struggling, reach out as you matter and someone cares - call 988.
