Our eyelids are lined with tiny oil glands called meibomian glands. With each blink, these glands should secrete a clear oil called meibum which stops the tears from evaporating too quickly. Meibomian gland dysfunction is a common condition when the glands are not producing enough oil or the oil is not the correct composition. This can lead to dryness, irritation, and redness.

When these glands are blocked, you may notice:
👁️ Dry, stinging sensations
👁️ Light sensitivity
👁️ Blurred vision
