The following information received from RMTAO association regarding the changes re: Covid-19 directives:
Masking
• Masks will still be required for RMTs and their patients as well as anyone in any other health care setting for the time being.
• The CMTO will provide more updates for RMTs in advance of these requirements changing.
Infection Prevention and Control including hand hygiene
RMTs should follow the requirements in the CMTO's Practice Standard - Infection Prevention and Control, Practice Standard - Safety and Management and Public Health Ontario's IPAC Guidance.

Client Screening
• Screening needs to take place once - just before treatment. This is a change from the two screenings that were previously required.
• All other requirements for screening (e.g. signage, questions, noting in the patient's health record, risk assessment) remain the same.
Self Screening
The requirement for RMTs to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms and not practise if they are feeling ill has not changed.
