SOCIAL MEDIA CAN SUCK, CONNECTION IS KEY
I am not a big social media fan. I don’t post/comment/like stuff very often. I have had people that are quite smitten with social media ask me if I don’t like people very much and that is why I am not active on social media.
WTF?
The exact opposite is true. I LOVE people and that is exactly why I do not post often. Let me explain.
I find the majority of people ….. OK you may be the exception …….. Are not sharing all of themselves on social media. They often share the “highlight” reel of their lives. I find this superficial and lacking the depth of connection I love to have with people. This is why I don’t value it and why I don’t participate often.
Life is gritty and tough and full of more than enough challenges and “oh crap” moments to balance out a "highlight" reel each and every day of the week. That is raw, unplugged and real life. I value that. I coach people through that s**t each and every day of my life and have for over 30 years.
I value CONNECTION, AUTHENTICITY and HUMAN POTENTIAL. I value other human beings who aren’t afraid to be real and fully themselves and want to express their full potential to the world. Is that you?
In order to facilitate an opportunity for honest, authentic, fact to face connection for people who want to break through to a higher level of expression in their business and/or life, I am opening up 2 spaces this year for my VIP DAY EXPERIENCE.
YES I get the hypocrisy of saying social media sucks and then offering this post to the world but in doing so I may have found a meaningful purpose for social media……. Finally.
