We were pleased to attend today’s announcement with Discovery Routes, local volunteers, and community partners to celebrate the launch of the new Trail Stewardship and Tool Sharing Program, supported by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
This initiative is a big win for our region. It supports the volunteers who maintain the trails we all love to hike, bike, ski, and explore. By offering training, shared tools, and added resources, this program strengthens the network of groups who keep our recreational trail system safe, accessible, and thriving.
Trail development is more than fresh air and pretty views. It drives tourism, supports local business, encourages healthy living, and helps showcase the natural beauty that sets North Bay and area apart. It’s exactly the kind of community-building effort worth celebrating.
