Offering Full Spectrum Doula services (fertility, birth, postpartum, loss, lactation support, infant massage classes & perinatal classes) in the Muskoka region. Since 2017 we have been supporting families within the North Bay and surrounding area as they bring home new babies and grow their families. Lived experience, a passion to provide support, education, and guidance to parents & families in their new or everchanging chapter of life is what you get here at Growing Together Doula Services. We will be there for you when you & yours need someone to lean on. Whether you are adopting, going through surrogacy, it's your first baby, or your fifth, there will always be questions and a period of learning about this new tiny human in your lives.

Support can look many different ways, and it doesn’t have to fit into one box!

I’m here to offer education, space to process, and steady support through many parts of the perinatal journey, not just birth or postpartum, and not in just one “right” way either.

You don’t need to have everything figured out to reach out. You don’t need a perfect plan, a specific type of birth, or a clear ask. Sometimes support starts with simply knowing you don’t have to navigate this alone.

Supporting families looks different for everyone, which is why my services are flexible, individualized, and rooted in compassionate care.

Whether you’re looking for birth or postpartum support, education, feeding support, or care through pregnancy, loss, or family planning, my goal is always the same: to meet you where you are and support you in a way that feels right for you.

Hi 👋 I’m Emily, the face behind Growing Together Doula Services.

Full Spectrum Doula • Book lover • Coffee reheater • Big believer that families deserve real support, not just information...and don't have to do it all on their own.

I’ve been supporting families for nearly a decade, and I still believe just as strongly that no two journeys into parenthood are the same.

My work is rooted in trauma-informed, individualized care, meeting families where they are, offering steady support, and creating space for informed choices without pressure.

2025 was full of growth, learning, and beautiful families 💜

From prenatal visits to postpartum journeys, every family I supported reminded me why I do this work. I’m so grateful for your trust and for the privilege of walking alongside you during these transformative moments.

2026 is already shaping up to be exciting...more support, more education, and more sustainable care for families here in Muskoka.

📢A quick update...

As my practice continues to grow and evolve, I’ll be implementing a pricing update for birth and postpartum packages beginning February 1, 2026.

This adjustment reflects the level of care I provide — including extended services, consistent backup coverage, and sustainable support for families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

All current bookings and signed contracts will be honoured at the existing rates. All new bookings from now until February 1st, 2026 will honour existing rates.

REMINDER: Financial barriers are always thoughtfully considered. Payment plans and sliding scale spaces are available — please feel free to reach out privately if this is something you’d like to explore.

🎄✨ Sending so much love to all the growing families this holiday season.

The holidays can be joyful and heavy, especially when your body, hormones, routines, or family dynamics are already doing a lot of work.

A gentle reminder as you move through the next few days:
💜Rest is productive
💜You don’t owe anyone access to your body, baby, or birth story
💜Plans can change and that’s okay
💜Your needs matter just as much as the traditions
💜Support is allowed, even (especially) during the holidays

Whether you’re pregnant, postpartum, or supporting someone you love, go slowly, breathe deeply, and trust that you’re doing enough.

Wishing you a peaceful Christmas, good health, and as much ease as possible.

January NICU Support Group is now open for registration!

Thanks to the generous support of the Canadian Premature Babies Foundation, this 6-week virtual group is completely FREE for NICU families in Ontario, Alberta, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. 💛

Led by Kelley Hassanpour, a Registered Nurse Psychotherapist with over 15 years of NICU experience and specialized training in Infant, Early Childhood, and Perinatal Mental Health — this group is a supportive, trauma-informed space to heal and connect.

✨ What we’ll focus on:
✔️ Normalize NICU experiences
✔️ Process what happened in the NICU
✔️ Learn to trust yourself as a parent
✔️ Recognize signs of PMADs (Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders)
✔️ Build tools to manage fear, anxiety & depression
✔️ Process grief and trauma with coping strategies
✔️ Connect with parents who truly understand

🍼 Eligibility:

Baby must be discharged from NICU

Not suited for bereaved parents (except in surviving multiples — case by case)

Ontario, Alberta, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia residents only (as per licensing guidelines).

Birth doesn’t always unfold the way we imagine. This sweet family walked through a long and incredibly challenging labour, and the final chapter looked so different from the original birth they had hoped for.

But this is where the heart of doula support lives.
We can’t promise outcomes...what we can promise is that you’ll never walk through them alone.

A doula makes sure you feel supported, informed, and deeply held through every twist, turn, and unexpected moment of your perinatal journey.

Being invited into this birth space, especially in such a vulnerable and impactful journey, was an honour💜
