WELLNESS WEDNESDAY - I can't emphasize enough, the importance of quality sleep, it is as vital to our overall well being as consuming nutrient dense rich foods. Unfortunately, I have always struggled with getting those critical 7 - 8 hours of sound sleep, and have found using a combination of these wind down tips very helpful. Improving your diet over time, adding forms of exercise you enjoy, getting enough sleep, finding down time to decompress, spending time with people that bring you joy, these are the lifestyle habits that promote health and vitality. FOODY FRIDAY - Yes I know, I've shared this recipe before, but with fresh kale available in abundance at the moment, in my garden and at the Farmers' Markets, it's well worth sharing again. I mastered this recipe to produce crispy chips that are irresistible. Bet you can't have just one! Now let’s go clean a large bunch of kale (the curly kind works best). THURSDAY DIY - Peppermint is a powerful expectorant and anti-inflammatory, able to provide relief for allergies, colds, coughs, sinus congestion, and respiratory conditions. If you don't have a diffuser, in a small glass, add a few drops of oil on a cotton baton or in water, and place in room(s), away from pets or children's reach. Just don't diffuse this oil before bedtime or you may have difficulty falling asleep.
