Yes it is true, all Chakradance music is frequency attuned. It is a literal sound bath while dancing. As someone who needs to move around, yoga and Chakradance is moving meditation.

All of our Chakradance™ music is fully composed — every single track is its own journey.
It begins with me playing a crystal bowl, each one vibrating at the exact frequency of a chakra. These bowls were gathered from all over the world — each one carrying its own resonance, its own medicine.
From there, I create with our extraordinary musician Dale to bring the soundscapes to life. Different tempos, instruments, moods, dreamlike layers of sound… we weave and shape until the music feels like it’s breathing. Sometimes a track takes weeks, other times months. But we don’t stop until it feels just right.
This is the secret ingredient of Chakradance™ — it’s not background music.
It’s medicine.
A frequency you can feel.

This is so true. I have to remind myself each day that people can only see through their own lens. We don’t know what others have experienced in the past that informs today’s actions. Chakradance is an important practise because it leads you down a path of self-discovery and exposes your own shadows to…yourself. Aside from being physical in the body, it is about being aware of how you feel in various energies and music, not judge yourself, but become aware of what is hidden in the depths.

What people say or do is never really about you; it's their lens and reality projecting back to you. You are responsible for deciding what's true for you. The best way to show you love yourself and them is to not take what they do or say personally. Get clear about what's true for you in those situations or relationships and it will be easier to evaluate and release what isn't true for you, and respond with confidence. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

What are you trying to heal?

The root chakra represents a connection to earth, ancestors, grounding, animal instincts and the lower end of Maslow Hierarchy of needs, basic needs, survival, money, food, shelter. For me I have been contemplating ancestral issues, as both parents lived through world war 2 and immigration, loss of wealth and even poverty. Now that they are gone, I reflect upon how their traumas affected their life views and how this has affected me personally. Chakradancing through this journey really helped!

July 13th is Root Chakradance!

July 13 Root Chakra exploration. What happens in a Chakradance class? Every class starts with a brief meditation, then we warm up and we dance all 7 energies as a check in. Then, each class in the summer series we will dedicate 20 min to an energy centre and July 13th we dance root chakra. It is honestly one of my favourites. The first time I danced it, I did not particularly like it and i found it annoying, but over time I felt it soothing and grounding. So, Chakradance is a reflection of how you resonate in the energy, a check in, a litmus test to see how you feel. If yoi don’t like the music or cannot danced, or you need to lie down, this is quick confirmation that you probably need to work on it! It’s your own journey and energy work poured into free dance and mandala art work drawing. And…fast energy check in for you!
