Be mindful of the cold weather
Hypothermia is a medical emergency that can have severe consequences including organ failure and death.
If you notice someone experiencing any of the signs of hypothermia, if you notice someone experiencing any of the signs of hypothermia, help them get to a warm space and seek medical attention if symptoms do not improve. While you’re waiting for help, try to warm them up by:
✅Getting them into a warm room or shelter.
✅Removing any wet clothing the person is wearing.
✅Warming the center of the person’s body—chest, neck, head, and groin—using an electric blanket, if available.
✅Warm drinks can help increase body temperature, but do not give alcoholic drinks.
