We’re thrilled to share that our 2025 Christmas Cards are now for sale! Pick up your North Shore themed card today at any North Shore Save-on-Foods or at either of the Foundation offices on the main floor of the South Tower and Paul Myers Tower at LGH. Cards are $15 for a pack of 10 cards and feature the stunning artwork of local secondary students Claire Tippett and Lauren Yung.

Did you know that close to close to 700 stroke patients arrive at Lions Gate Hospital each year? Every minute counts when someone has a stroke, and diagnosis and fast intervention is key.

Thanks to a $50,000 contribution from the Foundation, together with donations from the VCH’s Boehringer Ingelheim Innovation Fund, and the Sechelt and qathet Hospital Foundations, LGH has recently obtained Rapid Ai, an AI-driven software that quickly processes and analyses CT scans. Focused on stroke detection and diagnosis, the new technology demonstrated by Stroke Neurologist, Dr. Lee Lau, can be accessed on physicians’ mobile phones, helping ensure patients receive timely life-saving treatment.

We’re proud to share this advancement on World Stroke Day—a reminder that innovation and community support help save lives.

We are the fundraising arm of Lions Gate Hospital and all the publicly funded health-care facilities and programs across the North Shore.

It is thanks to the tireless efforts of our many volunteers that the Foundation is so successful in raising the funds needed to purchase medical equipment and support facility upgrades. From participating in community events and office projects to organizing golf tournaments and selling Christmas cards, our team of volunteers continues to help us make a difference – and for that we’re grateful.
