We are deeply disturbed by the news that an explosive device was detonated this morning outside the constituency office of North Vancouver-Lonsdale MLA Bowinn Ma. Thankfully, nobody was harmed, and authorities have secured the scene and launched a full investigation.

At WCN, we stand with MLA Ma, her staff, and the North Vancouver community in condemning this act of violence. Our democracy thrives on open dialogue and mutual respect, not fear or intimidation. Disagreements, whether over policy, politics, or public priorities, must be resolved through conversation, not through such senseless actions.

We urge everyone across political lines and civic life to reaffirm the values that unite us: respect for one another, peaceful debate, and civic courage. Violence has no place in our society. Together, let’s uplift each other by speaking out, listening deeply, and working toward solutions that reflect our shared humanity and hope.

Our thoughts are with MLA Ma and her team as they navigate this troubling incident. We reaffirm our commitment to civil discourse, public safety, and community solidarity.
