If I planned to have a baby in 2026, today I would focus on:

1. Self-Work:
•Big fan of therapy here. specializes in counselling for fertility and so much more.
•Being consistent, but not expecting perfection in all facets of prepping for conception, pregnancy and baby.

2. Nutrients:
•Primarily coming from whole foods and adding in specific supplements for optimal egg/sperm health (more info to come on this).
• Adequate calories coming from iron rich foods, fibrous whole grains, leafy greens and brassica species veg, antioxidant berries, and low-mercury fatty fish. Bonus points for ordering through .fed for more organic, local and regeneratively grown foods, where possible.

3. Movement:
•The kinds that get your heart rate up and lifting heavy but not those that wear you out for days on end. AKA, not the time to train for that long distance race your buddy is signed up for.
•This could mean a recreational team sport, leisurely bike rides overtown, short runs, long walks, the odd spin class , and regular training sessions with .

4. Rest:
•This one is important! Turn towards more sleep, tune into your body, do the things that hit you with those happy hormones.
•A yin or nidra yoga sesh , finishing a book at the beach, cuddling a loved one or pet and OF COURSE acupuncture with yours truly.

Much love to the local businesses mentioned here that helped me achieve my goals of starting a family too 🤍!

I’m so happy to share that baby Alfie has finally arrived! 🎉 Born on October 30th at 5:43am, Alfie weighed 8lbs 2oz and measured 20.5in in length 😮. He is a healthy and content little one, with so much strength, a great appetite and big love for his mama 🩵. He is an absolute joy to us!

This past weekend Alfie joined me in adding some finishing touches to our new space 🌱. April is still a ways away but it was exciting to get to see where work will be when I return. In the meantime, while I prioritize nourishing my son, my colleagues .wellness have got you covered!

A Quick Update!

🎉 Many of you have already heard and celebrated the news with me but just in case you haven’t:

👩‍🍼 I am on a mat leave as of this week to welcome our newest little family member soon.

📍 When I return to practice, in April, I will be practicing out of a new location! This new location still has a window, natural light and all of the comforts that you have come to know and love from my old location. It is conveniently right across the street on the north side of Esplanade W!

👯‍♀️ I’m so glad that my friends .aleemremtulla and Bryce Adams, RMT will be working in the new space as of Nov 1st too!

We can’t wait to continue to support you in your health journey from our new spot. We are dedicated to making the transition as smooth as possible for you!

If you are a current patient, you will have received an email from me on who I recommend you see for acupuncture services while I am away nurturing my little one. Please reach out if you would like this information to be forwarded to you again at any point.

📰 I MAY do a few pop up shifts before April, and those dates will later be shared here as well as in our newsletter.

⭐️ As with any new small business venture, reviews and recommendations go a very long way! Please leave a Google review using the link in bio if I’ve helped you at any point to help others find me for acupuncture services going forward!

Thank you for your support and I can’t wait to serve you all again in the new year! 😊

With gentle pause, consideration and earnest excitement, I’d like to announce my pregnancy. I know that other’s pregnancies can be difficult to see in the midst of trying to conceive. If you’ve seen me in recent weeks, you likely already know my news but if you were on your way in again or a new patient starting a treatment plan, this may come as a surprise.

I am SO passionate about caring for you through preconception, pregnancy, sometimes loss and motherhood. This summer and early fall, I am ever as committed to prioritizing empowering women on their journey to optimal health and reaching their goals.

With that being said, as I approach my guess date in late October, I will be temporarily handing off my patients to the very capable hands of a locum to continue your care. Stay tuned- you will be the first to be updated via socials and email.

It’s often a hard lesson for me to slow down and take a break. Thanks for your patience with my rescheduling the past two work days as I rest and recover from a cold.

I don’t pre-emptively schedule days of restoration enough! I’m working on being better at giving my body and brain permission to be productive by choosing rest too. 😴 🙏🏼

Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Day 💙:

I am so grateful to have found a career, practice and way of life that I am so driven by and passionate about. I acknowledge that the practices of East Asian Medicine do not belong to me. As a borrower of this medicine, I honour these practices and show utmost respect to the original holders of this medicine. It is a privilege to learn and share them to cultivate healing for many. I humbly do so with great appreciation. ☯️

This picture sums up what I live for and love:

•strong women

•taking comfort in our natural and whole selves (especially when we feel that we are “too much”)

•the support of a tribe

•sharing a meal with those that you hold dear

•ongoing laughter- even when it might not be particularly appropriate 🤭
