If I planned to have a baby in 2026, today I would focus on:
1. Self-Work:
•Big fan of therapy here. specializes in counselling for fertility and so much more.
•Being consistent, but not expecting perfection in all facets of prepping for conception, pregnancy and baby.
2. Nutrients:
•Primarily coming from whole foods and adding in specific supplements for optimal egg/sperm health (more info to come on this).
• Adequate calories coming from iron rich foods, fibrous whole grains, leafy greens and brassica species veg, antioxidant berries, and low-mercury fatty fish. Bonus points for ordering through .fed for more organic, local and regeneratively grown foods, where possible.
3. Movement:
•The kinds that get your heart rate up and lifting heavy but not those that wear you out for days on end. AKA, not the time to train for that long distance race your buddy is signed up for.
•This could mean a recreational team sport, leisurely bike rides overtown, short runs, long walks, the odd spin class , and regular training sessions with .
4. Rest:
•This one is important! Turn towards more sleep, tune into your body, do the things that hit you with those happy hormones.
•A yin or nidra yoga sesh , finishing a book at the beach, cuddling a loved one or pet and OF COURSE acupuncture with yours truly.
Much love to the local businesses mentioned here that helped me achieve my goals of starting a family too 🤍!
