Starting today Access Health and Wellness Clinic will switch from mandatory masks to masks are optional. Staff will continue to wear masks at this time.

We do ask that if you are symptomatic to please cancel your appointment and stay home. If you are unsure if it’s seasonal allergies or a cold please consider cancelling or at the very least masking up to help protect your practitioner and other patients.

We also work with immune compromised individuals and want to do our best to protect them.

As we near the fall season we continue with several Covid protocols. Masks are required at all times in the clinic, online health checks are to be completed prior to appointment and frequent sanitizing.

Access Health and Wellness will continue with our current Covid-19 protocols in place. These include but are not limited to, increased sanitizing of high touch surfaces, physically distancing, pre-screening for health, temperature checks and wearing masks.

To All Access Health and Wellness Centre Patients:
As part of the BC government’s Restart Plan, our clinic and services fall under the Phase 2 of re-opening of essential services. We are committed to following the Public Health Guidelines in order to protect our staff and patients to ensure the health and safety of everyone during this period.
We have made the following adjustments within our clinic:
- Modified our waiting area by removing all magazines, coffee table, water dispenser and limiting the number of chairs available in the waiting area
- Installed a barrier at our reception desk
- Hand sanitizer supplied for patients at reception desk
- Tap for payment and receipts will be emailed to you
- In order to maintain social distancing, you can choose to wait in your vehicle or in the hallway, we can call you when our practitioners are ready for you
- All surfaces in the treatment rooms including door handles, face pieces and chairs will be cleaned between appointments and deep cleaning of the clinic on Thursdays and Sundays
- Patients will be asked health screening questions upon entering the clinic
- Practitioners will be wearing masks and gloves during treatment
Access Massage Therapy Clinic will reopen on Monday May 25, 2020. Operating hours may vary to allow time for cleaning and social distancing. We request that you wear a face mask while in the clinic. If you do not have one, you can purchase one at our reception desk for a nominal fee. An informed consent form will be emailed prior to your appointment. Please read, sign and bring the form in with you at your next appointment.

Dr. Dale Tanaka will resume practice on Tuesdays. Dr. Tanaka’s operating hours are as follows:
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays – 8:30am-5pm -Saturdays - 9am-12 noon
Please call to book your appointments, arrive 5 minutes before and attend appointments alone to help limit the number of people in our clinic.
Please Stay Home if You:
- have been potentially exposed to COVID-19
- are experiencing symptoms of a fever, coughing, sore throat or difficulties breathing
- are in self-isolation
- have travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days

Dear Valued Patients of Access Chiropractic and Massage Therapy Clinic,

​In light of the COVID19 pandemic, we at Access Chiropractic and Massage Therapy Clinic have been working collectively to ensure your health and safety are our priority while providing you with the best care possible. We greatly enhanced our clinic’s cleaning protocol to high traffic areas and diligently disinfected treatment rooms after each patient.
​On March 21, 2020, British Columbia’s Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry ordered, after further clarification to the College of Massage Therapy of BC, that all BC Registered Massage Therapists must immediately cease practice until further notice. Therefore, Shauna Gwaltney and I, Linda Hoy, sadly have suspended our practices until further notice. We tried to keep our practices open as long as possible understanding that optimal health and well being are essential to our patients. Your future appointments will remain in place and cancelled on a weekly basis so that when we can resume practising, they are still there for you. We will miss seeing all of you but this is only temporary.
​Dr. Dale Tanaka’s chiropractic practice will remain open. Please call the office to ensure that it is open as there may be reduced hours of operations implemented. We understand that you appreciate the fact that Dr. Tanaka sees all drop-ins. However in order to better maintain social distancing and our new cleaning protocols, we ask at this time, that you please call for an appointment and you will be accommodated.
​Please observe the BC Centre of Disease Control’s recommendations so that together, we can control the further spread of this virus.

BC Health Authority announced on Saturday, March 21st that all RMT’s are to stop working and close their clinics. It is with a heavy but understanding heart that we are temporarily closing our clinic. We will open our doors once it is safe to do so. All of us would like to thank our amazing patients for their support and patronage over these many years. A special huge thank you to our front desk staff for all the extra care and attention to details for going above and beyond with minimizing risks. We couldn’t do what we do without you.

Please follow the BC Health guidelines on Social Distancing and keep yourself and your families safe and healthy. We can get through these difficult times better if we follow the guidelines.
