Today, on Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength, courage, and resilience of women everywhere.
But today is also a reminder.
A reminder of the millions of women who are still fighting for something many take for granted — freedom, dignity, and equality.
This video carries the voice of a 34-year-old Iranian woman who was born and raised under the rule of the Islamic Republic. Her story is not just hers. It echoes the lives of countless women who have grown up under systems that try to control their voices, their choices, and their futures.
Across the world, nearly 2.4 billion women still do not have the same legal or economic rights as men, according to the World Bank, and only a small number of countries provide full equality under the law.
And yet, despite decades of suppression, they continue to stand.
They continue to speak.
They continue to resist.
Today we celebrate women.
But we also remember the millions who are still waiting to be free.
Their voices deserve to be heard.
Their courage deserves to be seen.
And their fight deserves the world’s attention.
