In Somatic therapy I teach that it’s so simple. Maybe not easy, but simple. Allow yourself to sit in your emotion. First, deep breath, Somatic breath, get out of your thinking mind and into your body and ask yourself, hand to heart, how are you? When we know how we feel, we must be able to allow ourselves to feel it. Your job isn’t to always be with joy. It is to know how you feel in a moment, allow it to be in your body, and you will naturally release it. Our issues begin when we forced down the way we feel, to move on with our day, to get to the job, to parent the kids, and we don’t have the time to sit with our emotions. Emotions are information. Emotions are communication. They are asking us to listen, allow and release. This is where true empowerment begins. If you are a woman looking to feel your best, combat, stress, tension, and fatigue. Start within yourself. Somatic means “of the body.” Our wisdom resides there. If you want to go deeper, I can teach you how to do this on your own. We had a debate in my grade four / five classroom about whether a New Year’s resolution is a positive or a negative thing. A lot of the kids said I don’t wanna focus on changing something about myself. So I did a workshop with them that I’ve done with adults. They looked at a list of 100 core values and highlighted any word that spoke to them for whatever reason. Then they made groups of connected or similar words. Slowly, they whittled it down to one or two words that they would like to embody for 2026. I have the list of core values if you would like to try this activity as well. Comment below and I’ll send it! Knowing your word helps you make decisions. If you are a yes, or a no - you ask yourself does it align with my word? Do these habits align with my word? It helps bring intention and focus to your year without feeling like something else on your to-do list .

Happy Holidays however they long for you this year🎄 If you told me last year what I would walk through and where I would be now, here in December 2026, I would have never believed you. I’m finding my glow on my own. I’m still grieving a lot. I cry most days. At the losses and at the beauty of this world. The life planned with a bestie, a marriage, other friends and loves either in the sky or on Earth but not in my arms. Grief of this magnitude has shaped me. I think my soul is deeper. The deeper the sorrow seems to allow for the highest joys as well. The contrast is beautiful and painful. So if this season brings both joy and sorrow - know that I walk alongside of you XO Jenn

Today I could reflect and feel that a lot went wrong. I took the day off for tests at the hospital I’ve been waiting months for - and when I arrived, they had mistakenly cancelled it all. I have to go back in next Monday. I’m stressed about these tests, so I had a cry, but then took the day to notice the small things. Reminding myself to follow the nudges, because the Universe never leads me astray. I found this little chestnut with art on it, popped it in my pocket and had a little adventure. Now prepping for my Write to Release workshop with plenty of time to pour into myself. Life throws a lot at us - and I encourage you to feel it - the overwhelm, the frustration, the sadness and also find those small moments of light

Writing to Release is a transformative somatic healing workshop designed to guide you back to your inner wisdom through the powerful practices of breath, movement, touch, and writing. Our lives are BUSY.....somehow busier since technology has “improved” our lives! I’m not perfect, but I’ve created a pretty DOABLE program, for anyone looking to build some strength and energy. Quick and easy meals, quick 30 minute workouts! In 8 weeks, you’ll have built new habits and be a new, stronger, more KICK A$$ version of you! This isn’t a quick fix, it’s a new lifestyle and mindset.
