What does Occupational Therapy look like at TheraBounce?

It’s dynamic, engaging, and built around meaningful participation.

Occupational Therapy supports so many areas of development, including motor skills, communication, regulation, sensory processing, and social skills. At TheraBounce, we bring all of these pieces together through movement in a way that feels motivating , natural, and fun for each child.

Using therapeutic trampolining and adaptive equipment, we create opportunities to challenge balance, coordination, and body awareness, while also using sensory input from the trampoline that can help with both calming and alerting the nervous system.

Most importantly, it gives children the chance to do! They get to engage in an activity they enjoy, build confidence in their abilities, and feel successful in a space that is designed to support their individual needs.

Occupational Therapy isn’t just about working on skills, it’s about helping each child participate, connect, and feel confident in their abilities 💙

Meet Vitalina!

Vitalina started weekly sessions at TheraBounce, and in just 4 sessions has already made incredible progress. Living with dystonia, she and her family have explored traditional physiotherapy, medications, and deep brain stimulation, but TheraBounce was the key that brought everything together.

Before TheraBounce, balance was one of Vitalina’s biggest challenges, along with the fear of falling and getting hurt. That fear often became a barrier in traditional therapy, causing overthinking and making it difficult for her to fully engage in movement.

At TheraBounce, that shifted. Knowing she is safe to fall on the trampoline and mats has allowed Vitalina to let go of that fear, trust her body, and move more freely. As her confidence has grown, we’ve seen meaningful changes not only in her movement, but in how she approaches it. She knows she can trust her body, her anxiety relaxes, and as a result, her dystonia improves.

Her most recent milestone? Independent walking!

With tears, her mom shared that seeing Vitalina take these steps is more than she could have ever dreamed of. Vitalina is also bringing these skills home and repeating them, practicing things like independent high kneeling walking and proudly showing off her progress.

When asked about how their lives have changed, Vitalina’s mom shared that every day is better in every way. School and home life are both easier to manage as her Vitalina’s dystonia relaxes in the days after her sessions, especially in combination with all the skills and strength she’s developed!

At TheraBounce, we know that movement is about more than just physical strength. It’s about building confidence, reducing barriers, and creating space for each individual to explore what their body is capable of.

The confidence we see in Vitalina is a powerful reminder of what can happen when someone feels safe, supported, and empowered in their movement 💙

Introducing Nikola, the newest addition to the TheraBounce team!

“My name is Nikola Urosevic and I began working at TheraBounce as a Physiotherapy Resident since January 2026. I have had the pleasure of working within a variety of group and individual sessions.

Outside of a TheraBounce I work as a Physiotherapy Resident at Paediatric Physiotherapy Associates, helping a wide array of children reach their goals, and having fun along the way!

My favorite part of working within the TheraBounce team is the emphasis on keeping the spirit of play at the forefront of our sessions, while still achieving all our goals!”

Nikola will be working at our North York location on Wednesday afternoons and evenings, as well as Thursday evenings.

In addition to 1:1 physiotherapy sessions, Nikola will also be running our new Dynamic Training Group for hockey players & figure skaters running biweekly on Wednesday evenings.

Booking now with Nikola online via Jane app or via email to info@therabounce.com 😊
