Delmanor Northtown’s “Better Hearing - Better Life”presentation was worth a listen! Good hearing is so important for maintaining relationships, not missing important information in conversations, and for overall cognitive health. Nearly 20% of Canadian adults live with diagnosed hearing loss or a mild, undiagnosed hearing loss. Men more so than women. When it comes to hearing - we should be embracing technology. Today's hearing aids aren't just about amplifying sound but rather they are smart, adaptive devices that filter out background noise, connect easily to our electronics and adjust to different listening environments. Audiologist Michelle Kim, from Willowdale Hear Canada answered many questions about different styles and brands of hearing aids, the importance of getting tested early, and why you should wear your hearing aids anytime your eyes are open!
