Happy Family Day weekend to all of our amazing families who delivered babies this weekend! From Friday the thirteenth to Valentines to Family Day it was a whirlwind of celebrations these last few days.

Congratulations to our featured family Jenilyn and Anthony who welcomed their beautiful baby today!! What a cutie!!

Congratulations to the amazing Wendy Wong who was awarded the Excellence in Allyship Award today by the Black History Education committee here at NYGH.

This award is presented in recognition of your continued leadership and allyship in allowing for change addressing Anti-Black Racism and fostering equity within NYGH.

We have seen that Wendy is truly the definition of an ally and we couldn’t agree more with this recognition. Wendy missed her award presentation because she was caring for a client in labour but we got the chance to catch up with her a celebrate her later tonight.

A huge congratulations to our recent core residents for completing their rotations with us. We had the amazing Dr Silverberg who gave us one of the most organized chief blocks ever! Orli you really stood out for your thorough communication, excellent learning abilities, surgical skills and patient care. We loved seeing Dr MacDonal again who was the perfect addition to our team (who herself is a superstar).
