For you we have a three tier 4 layer Almond/ vanilla cake layered by a rich French buttercream, our in house raspberry compote, then finished with a lemon/ vanilla Amarican buttercream and garnished with white chocolate sprinkled with gold & silver.

Hello all. I am Danielle Humble, founder of Fork & Kettle... We are proud young Nova Scotians 8 years and counting. We love the people, the ocean, and the local community spirit. I am so pleased that I get to be a mom and a wife. I would say they have been my most rewarding endeavours in life. Each day we get to do life together, the good, the silly and the yucky also. It provides such an opportunity to grow and become a better person.
My husband Ryan, daughter Charity and I have taken the opportunities to travel to different areas in the world. We love the diversity and flavours of culture. Food has always been a thing for us. One that we enjoy not only to eat and explore new tastes, but also to make and serve to others. Ryan and I have both cooked and waitressed in several cafes and restaurants and have often dreamed of having our own, whether it be on wheels or a cabin in the woods...
We also have a big heart for children in foster care & adoption, and mentoring young adults and supporting pregnant and young moms. We actually have a real desire to see people empowered and encouraged.
Oh, and did I mention we are super excited about our faith in God and try to live it as a lifestyle, not just a Sunday thing (not always easy but super refreshing.) Then to add to all that, we have spent the last 5 years mostly living off grid, like glorified camping..... Yep, our little Life at Humble Homestead (Instagram) in the woods... So peaceful, a lot of work and so happy we accepted the challenge for whatever time we are here. We have got really good at cooking almost anything over a fire or in the wood stove with the coals. Why oh why did I not start that cookbook. Never too late!
Fork & Kettle, Specialty food and mentor-ship is an avenue to bring all this together into what is our hope, one beautiful package.

So yes, side note...... Proceeds of all purchases you make from Fork & Kettle go towards a (non-registered) not-for-profit called “Zebulon's Porch of Hope” supporting and mentoring young and or pregnant moms. Thank you so much on behalf of Fork & Kettle.
So our food. A combination of yesteryear techniques, today's accessibility of culture, diversity, individual needs and all this great understanding of super-foods found in our beautiful world... We love colour, art and nature and so you will probably find a bit of all that in our food. And we are not afraid of trying something new and being spontaneous. Most of all we believe in having fun and enjoying what we are doing and hope it tasted just as yummy!
We have a homemade candy line, baking that caters to the sweet tooth, the Gluten - Free, the dairy-free, low carb, diabetic friendly and kid friendly. We will be gradually adding brunch and dinner menu items that will be available for special order and small party catering. Special orders can be made by messaging us. Please allow a bit of time for preparations and at this time we are using a second party Registered Kitchen so times need to be booked.
Please be advised that we are not a Celiac friendly (certified gluten-Free) business. We just do our very best to not cross contaminate and offer the ingredient options.
