Today we collected clothing donations from residents and repurposed through local charity Safetynet Clothing Donation Program, in an effort to help residents clear some closet space, and to give back to our community!

¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo! Residents spent the afternoon immersed in a hands-on guacamole making experience, followed by an authentic Mexican dinner, set to the lively sounds of mariachi music. “¡Una fiesta llena de vida, sabor y alegría!” A fiesta full of life, flavor, and joy! 🪇

What a wonderful afternoon we had yesterday at Delmanor Glen Abbey.

We treated our residents and guests to a lovely luncheon followed by a lively game of duplicate bridge. Just look at that spread! Our culinary team truly outdid themselves.

We’re already looking forward to the next one!

We were delighted to partner with the Oakville Museum to showcase their costume collection. The first installation highlighted the evolution of embroidery, and offered a fascinating look at how style changed from 1890 to 1960. The nostalgic pieces sparked wonderful conversations and memories. We look forward to the next installment featuring beading!

“That’s a wrap” on this year’s Canadian Film Festival! Residents gathered in our community theatre to enjoy You Are Here: A Come From Away Story, The Grand Seduction, and Long Time Running. Canadian favourites like Tim Hortons doughnuts, Kernels popcorn, and Miss Vickie’s chips were served to complete the experience. It was a fabulous day celebrating Canadian talent!

Happy Earth Day from Delmanor Glen Abbey! 🌏 To do our part in giving back to the environment, our LivingWell Team hosted a 'New to you' sale, repurposing books, puzzles, clothing and jewelry. Residents and team members also came together to clean up garbage around our neighbourhood. ♻️
