DID YOU KNOW: DIABETES can cause multiple Neurological complications.
These include:
1. Peripheral Neuropathy - numbness, pain, tingling affecting distal most extremities such as feet and fingers first; most common
2. Autonomic Neuropathy - bladder, digestion, heart rate
3. Proximal Neuropathy - least common, affects nerves in hips, thighs, buttocks.
Diabetes is also a risk factor for Cognitive Decline and Stroke.
