Learn more about Ashley in this month’s Community Feature:

My name is Ashley Burton and I started my journey with Power Yoga Canada in 2011. Completing my first 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training changed my life and how I looked at it.   That training opened my eyes to really see what was possible for me without thinking small.  It sparked a curiosity about what it really means to be of service and how that was my actual purpose on this planet.

I felt so inspired by what I was discovering about myself, my practice and my relationships. I decided to go to Kenya, to assist a 200hr training with Paige Elenson + Africa Yoga Project, teaching Kenyans how to be yoga teachers.  During that trip, something shifted in me. When I came back to Toronto, I felt so passionate about really being up to something bigger then myself.

In 2015, I started a mobile yoga business called Yoga to You, specializing in corporate offices and private sessions. Over 100 different companies have benefitted from our worksite wellness programs, including Royal Le Page, RBC Bank, Fengate International, Workopolis and TierOne. To see the smiles on all your faces after our classes has felt like some of the most rewarding work.

I love being a part of the PYC family because it feels like just that. A FAMILY.   Two years ago after saying goodbye to my partner who passed away very suddenly …here I am today starting a family with my husband to be… literally starting over again.  I want you to know that whatever your story is, you can too.

I invite you to join me and the entire Power Yoga Canada community.

Ashley Burton is owner of PYC AT WORK and can’t wait to bring her and her programs to you and your teams

LET'S GET IT VAUGHAN!

We don’t have to tell you that 2020 has been an incredible year - full of unpredictability and possibility.🌱 We are thrilled to share that we are expanding our PYC community with with + .

Maddie started practicing hot power yoga in January of 2015. “After my first class, I was instantly hooked. I started practicing nearly every single day and this yoga changed my life. I was lighter, calmer and much happier. Having a background in teaching high school, I decided to combine my two passions. I’ve completed my 200 Hour yoga teacher trainings with both the Baptiste Institute and Power Yoga Canada. It’s the best of both worlds! The feeling I get when I’m teaching and practicing is like no other. It literally is the best feeling in the world. Now, nearly six years after beginning yoga, my very good friend Jolene and I are opening our very own Power Yoga Canada in Vaughan. I’m beyond ecstatic to share my passion of yoga with our new community!”

Joelene’s started practicing yoga 12 years ago when she was expecting her first child. “As a busy mom of 4 small children, yoga has become a way for me to connect back with myself and reduce stress. My practice has led me through various types of yoga to eventually finding a home in Hot Power Yoga. My love for yoga led me to complete my 1st 200HR YTT in November 2018, and to subsequent teacher trainings through The Baptiste Institute and most recently to PYC. My teaching background and my passion for yoga made it natural for me to combine the two. Both teaching and practicing yoga lights me up and I love that I get to share this practice with others. I am an enormous YES to opening Power Yoga Canada Vaughan with my dear friend Maddie! A YES for building a community. A YES for putting in the work, and a YES to sharing my love and passion for this practice!”

Please help us welcome to the family! Vaughan, we can’t wait to sweat with you, to discover with you, and to transform with you. Follow as they share updates and progress. See you on your mat @ Vaughan, Ontario
