Introducing our Registered Behaviour Analyst and Clinical Director, Ashley! With over 21 years of experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge, clinical leadership, and heart to her role as Clinical Director. She is highly regarded for her innovative, individualized approach to supporting clients with complex behavioural needs and her strong commitment to meaningful, lasting outcomes. Ashley provides clinical supervision to ABA clients while mentoring Supervised ABA Therapists at Synergy Kids.

Lauren is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA, Ont.) with over 15 years of experience in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis. She has worked with individuals ages 2 to 22, supporting a wide range of developmental and behavioural needs, with a particular interest in ADHD.

As both a clinician and someone with lived experience with ADHD — as well as a parent to a neurodivergent child — Lauren brings a unique perspective to her practice. She is especially passionate about parent coaching and consultation, helping families build strategies that are realistic, compassionate, and sustainable. Her work is grounded in collaboration, empathy, and a strong belief in supporting both the child and the family as a whole.

Synergy Kids is CLOSED Today and this Weekend (June 27, 28 and 29th) in honour of Canada Day. Our hard-working staff will be off today for a well deserved break. We look forward to seeing our ABA, Occupational Therapy and Respite Clients when we re-open on Monday, June 30th at 8am.

Have you met Alana? If you've called or emailed Synergy Kids in the past 2 years, you've probably met Alana. Known as the Synergy Kids "Big Brother", if Alana is not at the front desk she can be found playing in the gym or jump scaring her colleagues.
She started out doing community-based adult programs, and moved to in-home ABA therapy for children with autism in 2007, which is how she met Emily! Alana has experience in clinical supervision, program development and management, and thinking out-of-the-box to support families in the ever-shifting landscape of autism services in Ontario. Because of the sheer amount of time spent in this landscape, Alana can help families make the most of their resources at Synergy Kids. And she loves it! Alana joined Synergy Kids in 2024, and plans on never leaving.

For many of the amazing kiddos we support, holidays can bring joy and excitement—but also new challenges. Let’s remember to create sensory-friendly celebrations, offer predictability, and embrace the unique ways each child experiences this special day.

Here are a few autism-friendly Easter tips to make the day enjoyable for everyone:
🥚 Use visual schedules to prepare for Easter activities
🎨 Offer alternative egg hunt options (sensory bins, non-food prizes)
💡 Create calm spaces for breaks if the day feels overwhelming
💙 Most importantly—have fun in a way that works best for your child!
