Our commitment at CW Therapy has always been to provide high-quality, compassionate care where everyone feels supported. We believe therapy thrives when you feel truly seen and heard, and we strive to make that a reality.

To continue offering this level of care and ensure our practice remains sustainable for our dedicated therapists, we're making a necessary adjustment to our individual session fees.

This helps us cover rising costs for training, inflation, and the needs of a growing practice.

Effective June 1st, the fee for individual therapy sessions will be $170. This is an increase of $10.

Please note: Stacey and Lindsay’s individual rates will not change. Our rates for couples and family therapy also remain the same.

We understand changes like this can bring up questions, and this decision wasn't made lightly. If you have any concerns or want to discuss this further, please don't hesitate to connect with us. We're here to support you. 💬

Thank you for your continued trust and understanding as we grow. We value being part of your journey.

This week, we recognize and thank the paramedics and EMS professionals who show up every day to care for others, often during their hardest moments.

This year’s EMS Week theme, “We Care. For Everyone.” Highlighting the commitment of EMS professionals to care for all communities.

At CW Therapy, we know the emotional and physical toll this work can take. If you’re an EMS professional, your well-being matters too. We're here to support you, just as you support so many others.

Your dedication and strength do not go unnoticed. 💙

If you or someone you know could use a space to talk, please reach out. You don’t have to carry it all alone. Book a free 15-minute consultation using the link in our bio.

Have you ever felt like your emotions take over before you even have a chance to think? You're not alone, and there are tools that can help.

One evidenced based approach we use at CW Therapy is called Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). It’s a powerful skills based method that helps people to better understand their triggers and emotions, respond versus react, improve their communication, thereby improving relationships.

DBT isn't just for adults, it can also support kids and teens who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or misunderstood. It offers skills you can use every day to bring more calm and connection into your life.

We just published a new blog that breaks down what DBT is, how it works, and who it can help. If you’ve been wondering whether DBT might be right for you or someone you love, this is a great place to start. 🌱

Police Week is a time to recognize the commitment of officers who show up every day to protect and serve. Behind the uniform are people who carry a heavy responsibility—often without pause, and sometimes without recognition.

This year’s theme, “Committed to Serve Together,” reminds us that community safety is a shared effort. It takes trust, teamwork, and strong support systems—on the job and beyond it.

At CW Therapy, we understand the unique mental health challenges police professionals face. If you’re in this line of work, know that your well-being matters too.

This week is Mental Health Week in Canada! So let's talk about masking.

As therapists, we get the privilege to see folks show up in our space authentically. We get to truly see people as they are. While this doesn’t happen overnight, we see folks show up and create an emotionally safe space to be themselves.

We know well that our struggles, whether it be with ourselves, relationships, or mental health, can cause us to mask what is going on. We may mask to avoid judgment, keep up appearances, or simply get through the day. Masking causes shame. Showing up authentically is an act of courage and also the antidote to masking and to shame. Start the conversation and let CW support you.

Meet Angel!

Angel is our newest therapist at the Georgetown office, and she brings warmth, creativity, and a deep passion for working with children and teens. With a trauma-informed and family-focused approach, Angel supports children and teens aged 4 to 18 as they navigate anxiety, depression, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and more.

What makes Angel’s work so special is her ability to connect through music, play, and storytelling—tools that help young clients express themselves in meaningful ways. She creates a safe, non-judgmental space where children and teens feel heard, understood, and supported in their growth.

Angel draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, narrative work, and person-centred therapy to tailor each session to the child’s unique needs. She also works closely with families to ensure treatment plans reflect each child’s strengths and goals.

Angel is now accepting new clients in Georgetown. To book a free consultation, visit the link in our bio.

First responders face many challenges every day, both in the field and within their own organizations. While operational trauma is often talked about, the impact of poor leadership on mental health is just as important to recognize.

In our newest blog post, we explore how inconsistent leadership, lack of support, and broken systems can deepen trauma for first responders. We share ways strong leadership can make a real difference by fostering trust, resilience, and healthier workplaces.

At CW Therapy, we understand the toll this can take and are here to offer compassionate support. If you want to learn more, head over to our blog to read the full post.
