In Latin, Nova is the shortening of nova stella or ‘new star’. At Nova Health Club we believe that a nova stella exists in everyone. Nova is Oakville’s premier personalized fitness training studio. Our current location at 118 Thomas St will soon be relocating to the beautiful Randall Residences in downtown Oakville. 🌟Our March SuperNova: Joy Renders-Lawrence🌟

Within 2 months Joy has…

⬆️ Increased lean muscle mass by 3.3lbs

⬇️ Decreased body fat by 4.6lbs

Joy is praised by all her coaches for balancing work, travel, family and a very full calendar.

🌟Our February SuperNova: Joe Farrell🌟

Joe has been a Nova member since 2018!

During this time he stayed super consistent with his training - starting 2x/wk and eventually moving to 3x/wk by adding a double session with his wife Beth.

With this training foundation in place, it was just a matter of time before he took on the other pillars of health - lifestyle habits outside of the gym.

At the end of summer last year, he realized that although he is working out, he could not ‘outwork’ poor habits outside of the gym - habits like little movement and eating out at lunch.

Joe made a decisive shift - to bridge the gap between his workouts and lifestyle habits.

He began incorporating more NEAT (non exercise active thermogenesis - like walking), increasing protein and meal prepping his own lunch.

And with his ability to stay consistent, these habits, combined with his workouts allowed him to lose 15lbs of weight and get his body fat percentage to 15%!

He feels better, looks great and is setting himself up for a future where he can experience life, his family and be stress resilient to overcome the challenges of running a business.

🌟Our 2025 SuperNova of the year is… Beth Finch!🌟

First recognized as our May SuperNova, Beth continued proving consistency and commitment all year.

Check out some of her results:

* Lost 22 lbs of fat (while maintaining muscle) 🔥
* Hit her first pull-up 🙌
* Increased strength across major lifts 🏋️‍♀️Squat: 115×8 → 135×12
* Lat Pulldown: 95×8 → 105×8
* BB RDL: 95×10 → 135×10
* Improved nutrition with better hydration, more protein, less alcohol and fewer inflammatory foods 
* Stayed active daily and consistently hit her step goals 

Beth, and her husband Joe are also big supporters of the Nova community, always showing up for events like SuperStrength Day and the Christmas Run.

Hana holds a degree in Biotechnology from the University of Toronto and brings a diverse movement background to Nova - from time in the Rockies to Taekwondo, triathlon, Pilates and strength training.

If you’re looking for motivation, Hana delivers a high-energy, encouraging approach to training that gets people moving and feeling confident.

Highlights from our annual Nova Christmas Walk/Run🎄🏃

Though the weather was wet and windy, that didn’t stop our most committed Nova members from coming and having fun.

This year we switched up the post walk/run breakfast by having a chef make omelettes to order. 

Plus, Coach Josh requested the chef to prepare an oatmeal alternative - creamy brown rice cereal - just as yummy and comforting as oatmeal but better on digestion.

Thanks to the team for putting it on and all our members who came out!

Amy holds a BSc. in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo and brings a truly unique background as a professional aerial cirque artist and aerial coach.

She’s trained elite athletes in the NHL and the Toronto Raptors, blending science and artistry in how she coaches movement.

Since joining Nova in February this year, Dino has been consistently training, building mobility and strength across all major lifts PLUS hitting his daily movement goals (7-8k steps!)
