Naturopathic doctors undergo an intensive four year program at an accredited naturopathic medical college after completing an undergraduate degree. We have an extensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, clinical medicine and pathology. What makes naturopathic doctors unique is that we spend more time with our patients to gain a detailed understanding of their health and concerns. Naturopathic doctors take a holistic approach and complete a thorough assessment of each individual case. Understanding the various body systems and how they influence one another is the foundation of how we practice medicine. We do not just treat the presenting symptom; we search for the cause. At Abaton, once we establish the root cause of symptoms, we utilize a host of therapies such as acupuncture, botanical medicine, nutrition, diet and lifestyle counseling, supplementation and homeopathy to support your body as it begins to heal and recover.

✨Welcome Gaaya✨

We are very excited to welcome Gaaya to the Abaton team!

Gayathri (Gaaya) comes with more than 22 years of clinical experience treating a multitude of conditions. She graduated with her Bachelor of Physiotherapy (India) in 2004 and then graduated from Massey University (NewZealand) in 2009 with a Post Graduate in Health Science, specializing in Sports and Exercise Science.

Being a Level 3 Advanced Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, she has given excellent results in multitude of her clients ranging from pregnancy related pelvic pain to chronic pelvic pain/bladder incontinence and sexual dysfunction. She treats men and women.

Gaaya is also a McMaster University-certified Medical Acupuncture Provider. She is one of the few G.L.A.D – Arthritis Therapist who can help hip and knee arthritis clients. She a proud student of Robin Mckenzie himself for MDT - McKenzie Techniques for spine and also skilled in Mulligan concepts of joint and spine mobilizations.

She has primarily worked in a clinical setting, but does have experience working with Sports teams, Outpatient department in a multi-specialty hospital.

She displays a great deal of passion for yoga and owns a Gold membership (CYA- RYT- 500) from Canadian Yoga Alliance.

Gaaya is enthusiastic about dancing, cooking, and being active along with her young family.

Hi, I’m Dmitry, a Registered Massage Therapist.

I am excited to be joining Abaton Integrative Medicine and collaborate with other like-minded health care professionals.

Massage therapy has been my passion since I was 10 years old. After moving to Canada in 2017, I began the journey to turn that passion into a fulfilling career. I truly enjoy helping clients improve their health and well-being through massage.

My background in various combat sports has given me firsthand experience with injuries and recovery, which helps me better understand the challenges many of my clients face. That said, my approach is far from one-size-fits-all—I offer both deep tissue work and gentle, nurturing care, depending on what each individual needs.

I also support women during pregnancy and understand the variety of physical and emotional benefits massage therapy can have for expectant mothers.
