8 hours of sleep: exhausted 😴
3 hours of sleep: suddenly reorganizing your entire life at 2am 🧼✨

ADHD energy doesn’t always follow logic… it follows ✨timing✨
Sometimes it’s not about how long you slept, it’s when your brain decides it’s go-time
(…and unfortunately, it’s not always convenient)

Appointment at 3:30pm.
Me at 9:00am: fully dressed, mentally unavailable, and unable to start anything else.

For ADHD brains, future tasks can feel like they take up the whole day, even when they’re hours away. That “waiting mode” can make it hard to transition, focus, or feel settled.

Do you get stuck in waiting mode too?

My brain during verbal instructions: 🕺
Also my brain 2 seconds later: "wait… what were the steps again?"

when the executive dysfunction window closes and suddenly you’re booked, busy, and bitter 🫶

Growth with ADHD doesn’t come from pushing harder, it comes from working *differently*.
It’s about focusing on what actually matters, keeping things simple enough to see, and allowing support to be part of the process, not a last resort.

Consistency doesn’t have to be big to be meaningful.

👉 Save this for a reminder on the days it feels harder to show up.

It’s not always procrastination.
Sometimes your brain is just overwhelmed.
ADHD can make starting feel harder than it looks, especially when the task feels too big.

Save this if this helped you reframe it

ADHD isn’t “no focus” - it’s inconsistent focus.
It’s not laziness, not just for kids, and often missed (especially in women).
Understanding this changes everything.
👉 Save or share to spread awareness

May is Mental Health Month, and we’re continuing the conversation with our clinicians. 🧠

This week, we asked Laura, one of our clinicians:

“What are some common misconceptions about mental health that you often see?”

One important reminder Laura shares: struggling with your mental health is not a sign of weakness. Mental health challenges are common, valid, and deserving of support.

Watch to hear Laura’s perspective on common mental health misconceptions, and share this with someone who may need the reminder.

You walk into a room… and suddenly your brain freezes.
Where do you even start?

It’s not laziness, it’s too many starting points at once.

Try this: pick *one* visible thing and start there. Momentum > perfection.

👉 Comment “same” if this happens to you

ADHD is so weird… why am I procrastinating something I want to watch? 😭
Not laziness, decision paralysis.
Too many tiny choices = brain says “nope.”
