Social media for fat loss is both great and terrible.

Great, because there's some genuine, helpful advice out there.

Terrible, because there's a lot of nonsense advice which won't help you at all.

If anything, it might make things worse.

Unfortunately, there tends to be more of the latter.

Or perhaps that just because that content typically gets attention.

Either way, if you're using social media to help you with your fat loss.

15lbs down in 6 weeks.

The plan was to get a touch leaner within 90 days.

The sun came out, the weather has been sick, so it made me push a little harder.

6 weeks, we're done.

I could sit here and feed you bulls*** like a lot of people on the internet.

Telling you I cut out certain foods, I did certain exercises, I followed a 'secret' plan or that I know something others don't.

Here's the truth;

I put myself in a pretty large calorie deficit (2-3lbs a week being lost).

This was sustainable (I could keep going if I wanted).

This was realistic.

That's it.

If you want a break down of exactly what I did;

3 meals, 1 snack (no eating in-between these times)

Protein and veg/fruit in every feeding window.

8,000 steps a day minimum.

3 weight training sessions a week(some even done at home 🤢)

1 run a week (30 mins).

Done.

Not too fancy or complicated, huh?

This included;

A takeaway on 3-4 of these weeks.

A pizza almost every week.

Multiple meals out with the family.

Ice cream, cake, chocolate (a whole Easter egg) on occasion.

But here's the important thing.

Those actions still only equated to 10-20%.

80-90% of the time my consistency was on the money.

Consistency is what leads to results.

Feel like you've let your health slip lately?

That's easily done when you have other priorities and stressors in life, like having a family and work.

But if you're looking to improve your health, confidence and all around happiness, you need to find a way to prioritize it again.

And that doesn't mean having to give up other areas of your life.

It just means finding an approach that allows you to manage both.

Like having someone else keep you accountable and ensure you stay consistent.

Just like you keep yourself accountable and consistent with your family and work life.

With 101 other things to think about it can feel overwhelming to add another task to that list.

But with the right support, guidance and help it's very much possible.

Getting results isn't complicated, you just need a few pieces to make it as simple and straight forward as possible.

This is how we do it within the DropFatWithMatt Method.

1. 1-1 support and guidance

Having someone in your corner, remove the guess work and thinking for you, giving you the advice you actually need

2. Weekly check ins

You need accountability and you need to know what went well and what didn't go well each week, that's the only way to consistency and improvement.

3. Weekly help and contact

Messages, voice notes, even calls if needed, having the advice and opinions to resolve any issues, worries or concerns you have gives you piece of mind and removes the stress.

4. Optional education

The option to learn more and expand your knowledge on everything training, nutrition and lifestyle (if you wish).

Education is important for the sustainability of your results if you want this to be the final time fat loss gives you a headache.

5. Zero guess work.

Having a plan, structure and targets to hit. Keeping you focused and clear on what you actually need to worry about.
