Residents at Venvi Churchill Place in Oakville were treated to a tasty presentation from a local student entrepreneur. Charlotte, a 15-year-old with a passion for baking, started her business, Grain & Loaf Co, to showcase that healthy can also mean delicious. Specializing in whole grain, good for you baked items, Charlotte is dedicated to bringing fresh, locally sourced, and handcrafted goods to customers.

Joined by her mother and grandmother, Charlotte brought her baked scones, muffins, and challah bread to share with residents, who were inspired by her energy and passion. She shared her story, recounting how she had taught herself to bake through trial and error, experimenting with healthier ingredients to make her treats more nutritious without sacrificing taste.

By the end of the presentation, Charlotte not only shared her delicious baked goods but also forged connections bridging generations through the joy of baking.

The Bentley Regina recently celebrated their grand re-opening after months of renovations. Residents were joined by Regina’s Mayor, Chad Bachynski, and other members of the community who were able to enjoy the inviting new spaces. The residence features an ode to The Capitol Theatre and an all-new pub called The Honking Goose Tavern. Guests had the opportunity to sample the Pension Plan Pilsner, a collaboration with The Bentley Regina and Pile O Bones Brewery located in Regina - a true Saskatchewan beer. 🌞 What a wonderful day on our rooftop garden! 🌞

We took full advantage of the beautiful weather and hosted a delightful BBQ for our residents. It was such a joy to spend time outdoors, share delicious food, and enjoy great conversations with neighbours and friends. There’s nothing quite like sunshine, fresh air, and good company! 🍔🪴👫

We welcomed the warmer weather with a fun and creative project🌼
Our residents painted glasses with beautiful spring flowers, after curing and baking, the glasses turned out great — perfect for sipping or even as little flowerpots. We’re all set and excited for the warmer weather ahead! 🌸☀️

We had an amazing time on our outing to Ripley’s Aquarium🐟 in Toronto! From colorful fish to mesmerizing jellyfish, we explored a world full of incredible marine life. One of the highlights was walking through the underwater tunnel, with sharks🐬 and fish swimming right over our heads—it was truly unforgettable! 🐙🩷✨

We had a wonderful time celebrating Mother’s Day with our amazing moms and visiting families! 💐 From a delicious brunch buffet and refreshing mimosas, to fun photo booth moments and lively entertainment — it was a day full of joy, laughter, and love. 💕

🎉 We had a blast yesterday celebrating Cinco de Mayo at The Kensington! The day kicked off with a fun and informative lecture on the history behind the celebration, followed by a burrito trivia challenge.

Our afternoon fiesta was filled with laughter, games like sombrero ring toss, pin the tail on the donkey, and of course, smashing the piñata! 🌮🎯🎈 Chef Bradley wowed us with a delicious spread of authentic Mexican dishes, and we cooled down with some ice-cold margaritas. 🍹

A big thank you to everyone who made the day so special! ❤️

Retirement living is about community and connection. A new resident at Venvi Windsor Park retirement residence felt overwhelmed on her first day, until a group of compassionate residents embraced her warmly. Over lunch, they shared stories and realized they all hailed from the same Italian town. What began as a simple gesture blossomed into an hour of laughter, camaraderie, and encouragement.

What an unforgettable afternoon! Residents had a blast meeting some truly wild guests—from a massive Sulcata tortoise to a sugar glider, a chatty cockatoo, a curious Patagonian cavy, a vibrant Fiji banded iguana, and even a baby sailfin dragon!

We got up close and personal, petting and learning all about these fascinating creatures—their native countries, diets, natural behaviors, and even the challenges some face as endangered species. 🌍💚

There were trained tricks, educational facts, and lots of smiles. Thank you to Wild Animal Kingdom for bringing the zoo to us! 🐾✨

We had such a lovely time celebrating with our residents and their loved ones. From tapping into our artistic side with Easter-themed watercolor painting to getting creative with egg decorating, the fun never stopped! 🎨🥚

A highlight of the weekend? An adorable visit from some fluffy baby chicks that brought big smiles to everyone’s faces! 🐥❤️ And of course, we wrapped up the festivities with a home-wide Easter egg scavenger hunt — so many hidden treasures and lots of laughter along the way! 🧺✨
