Happy International Women’s Day! 🙌🏻

Shoutout to the incredible women who make my world brighter. The friends who check in, the business owners who do their work with heart, and the humans who remind me what showing up with purpose really looks like.

I appreciate you. For your friendship. For your support. For the fire you bring to everything you do. You are the reason women’s spaces feel like home.

AROMATHERAPY + AROMA MASSAGE

Aromatherapy, also referred to as Essential Oil therapy, can be defined as “the art and science of using essential oils which are aromatic extracts from plants, to balance, harmonize and promote the health of the body, mind and spirit”. Discover how aromatherapy, essential oils and custom blends formulated specifically for you can help support your physical, mental and emotional health. The consultation is designed to gather information and health history and includes one custom product. This can be done virtual or in-person.

AROMA MASSAGE

There is a particular kind of tired that sleep doesn’t fix.

It arrives quietly, the way seasons change here in late winter — not all at once, but in accumulation. One grey morning folding into the next. The light still thin. The ground still hard. And somewhere in the body, a slow leaking that you don’t notice until you reach for something — enthusiasm, presence, the simple pleasure of a deep breath — and find the well lower than you expected.

I noticed it in the last few weeks, in the middle of a stretch of days that were full in every measurable sense. Meetings, deadlines, decisions, the particular cognitive weight of compliance work that asks you to hold many threads simultaneously without dropping any. The kind of busy that looks productive from the outside and feels like static from the inside. I wasn’t unwell. I was just drained. And the word, when it finally landed, felt precise in a way that stressed or tired never quite does. Not empty. Not broken. Just slowly, steadily losing something I hadn’t been replenishing.

I found a word (thank you Google) for what fills the hours around that kind of depletion: brain rot. It’s an ugly phrase and I think that’s intentional. I think we need something that capture the texture of the thing, the way forty-five minutes of scrolling leaves you feeling simultaneously overfull and hollow. We consume information the way we sometimes eat when we’re not actually hungry. Compulsively. Reaching for something we can’t name. And the body, which is always more honest than the mind, registers it as what it actually is: noise. Chronic, unrelenting noise that the nervous system was never designed to metabolize.…. Burnout develops over time when prolonged stress overwhelms the body’s ability to recover. It can affect energy levels, concentration, sleep, emotional resilience, and the nervous system’s capacity to switch out of a constant state of alertness.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy that may support burnout recovery by encouraging deep relaxation and helping to regulate the nervous system. When the body is given regular opportunities to move into a rest-and-restore state, it can begin to rebuild its capacity for rest, energy, and emotional processing.

Reflexology may also help improve body awareness, supporting individuals in recognising early signs of fatigue or overwhelm. This awareness can be an important part of recovery, helping people respond more gently to their limits rather than pushing through exhaustion.

While reflexology does not replace medical or psychological care, it can be used alongside appropriate support as part of a gradual, holistic approach to recovery. By working with the body rather than forcing change, reflexology may help support resilience and a more sustainable return to balance over time.
