Starting in 1 Hour! – NEW Webinar: The Zirconia Protocol 🦷

Join Dr. Taiseer Sulaiman and I at 8 PM Eastern for a deep dive into a predictable roadmap for selecting, prepping, and bonding modern Zirconia restorations.

If you’ve ever just written "Please make a Zirconia Crown" on a lab slip, you might be missing critical information that leads to clinical failure.

During This Free Webinar You Will Learn:
The "0% vs 75%" Failure Rate: Why high-translucency (5Y) zirconia fails in load-bearing areas.
The "Saliva Rescue" Protocol: The correct decontamination steps (and why phosphoric acid is a mistake).
The "Magic Marker" Trick: A simple chairside tip to guarantee perfect sandblasting.
Prep Design & Curing: Exact reduction requirements and why you must double your cure time.
The Yttria Rule: How to choose the right generation of material for every case.
Stop the guesswork and cut through the marketing noise with evidence-based protocols you can use on Friday morning.

Lower anterior crowding + porcelain veneers = a case most dentists avoid.
Here’s why I don’t with a few clips from this week’s Occlusion Design members webinar:
→ What’s actually involved in a result like this (not every case can get here)
→ The “no ortho” conversation—and why these preps stayed in enamel
→ Why I don’t use shrink wrap provisionals on these cases

Trimming provisional veneers with XT discs and 7901 carbides. Simple tools, predictable results.
The 7901 allows for precise shaping of the gingival embrasures.

Part 2: The Workflow. ⚙️
Last week I shared the final smile; today is about the process. Here is a look at the provisionals, the conservative preps, and additional angles of the final 6 feldspathic veneers.
Key technique: The preparations were driven by the mock-up with depth cuts to ensure minimal reduction. The 6-day post-op tissue response really speaks to the fit and the conservative nature of the case.

Precision is in the details. ✨
Refining the margins for last week’s 6-unit feldspathic veneer case. I prefer finishing the lateral incisor margins dry for two reasons:
1. Better visualization of the thin cervical enamel (avoiding dentin exposure)
2. Superior smoothing of the margin
Technique: Electric handpiece + Low RPMs to prevent overheating while working dry. Filmed on: Zeiss Proergo Microscope

PART 2 – 4K MICROSCOPE VIEW: PREP GUIDE & RETRACTION CORD PLACEMENT 🔬
Here is Part 2 of my veneer preparation series, filmed in ultra–high definition with the Zeiss ProErgo microscope.
In this segment, I’m evaluating the reduction using a vertically sectioned putty matrix of the wax-up, placing retraction cords, and refining the margins with controlled, microscope-guided precision.
FREE TRAINING: If you want to master porcelain veneer preparation with predictable, repeatable workflows, you are invited to attend my free porcelain veneer webinar.

New Case Function meets esthetics. ✨
We placed 6 handcrafted natural feldspathic veneers to restore anterior guidance, close spacing, and elevate the overall esthetics. These photos are just 6 days post-op—look at that tissue response! Minimal inflammation and great integration.
Stay tuned next week: I’ll be sharing the conservative prep design and a clinical video of the process.
Ceramics by master ceramist Harald Heindl.

4K MICROSCOPE VIEW: CUSPID PREP & GUIDANCE ENHANCEMENT 🔬
Filmed in ultra-high definition using the Zeiss ProErgo Microscope.
In this case, we are placing retraction cords and preparing the cuspids to revise the guidance on a 15-year-old veneer case compromised by bruxism. Seeing the preparation at this magnification allows for precise control when managing porcelain veneer margins.

FREE TRAINING: If you would like to master porcelain veneer preparation techniques, I invite you to attend my free porcelain veneer webinar.
