We offer Yoga, Hot Yoga, mysore Ashtanga, Lagree, Pilates Mat & Equipment (Reformer, tower, chair), Barre, TRX, Meditation & Breath classes Workshops, and all varieties of teacher teaining. We offer a variety of services that heal the body and nourish the soul. Our showers and change rooms are complete with all the amenities required to get you efficiently back to your day. Come by for a visit anytime! In addition to Yoga and Mat Pilates classes, we also offer Pilates equipment classes which include Reformer machines, Tower Trainers, and Stability Chairs. Our full list of services include: (Hot) Yoga, Meditation, (Hot) Pilates, TRX (a suspension system for body weight training), Kettlebells and classes with hand weights. Our list of wellness services including Registered Physiotherapy, Ayurvedic Spa Services, and Thai Massage.

Here is a guide to choosing the right class for your mood
Because your body signals what it needs long before the mind decides.

🧠Start with your state
Check in with energy, mood, and mental pace.
Awareness is the first step to choosing the right practice.

🔄Match the practice, not the ideal
If capacity is low, choose a class that supports you instead of pushing against you.
Alignment > intensity.

🪴Each class regulates the nervous system differently:
• Yin = downshifts the system when you’re tired
• Flow = lifts mood through breath + movement
• Breathwork = calms overstimulation
• Ashtanga = grounds through structure and repetition
• Lagree = builds strength, stability, and controlled focus

Peace isn’t something you find. It’s something you train your nervous system to access.

🧠 Biology behind it
Repeated slow breathing + mindful movement shifts the body from sympathetic (stress) to parasympathetic (rest).
Translation: your body learns calm through repetition, not willpower.

🧘‍♀️ Why your practice matters
• every inhale = signal of safety
• every exhale = release of accumulated tension
• every class = reps for emotional regulation
• consistency > intensity

🌿 Takeaway

iGita has its roots as a yoga studio; one that continues to thrive and foster wellbeing and joy in its community. Since its inception in 2010, we’ve grown and expanded, welcoming other like-minded health and fitness professionals to become what we like to think of as Oakville’s largest urban sanctuary. More than a yoga studio, iGita provides an un-intimidating, friendly environment, offering mind-body based fitness classes and services including : Yoga, Hot Yoga, Pilates Mat and equipment classes, Meditation, Barre, TRX, Strength training, Spin, personal training, Chinese medicine, Reiki, Thai massage.
