A Mole Mobile Patient Story ✨ From Doubt to Diagnosis: Brenda's Story

"I had a raised lesion that looked like a pimple on the right side of my nose that had been there for several months. Without a family physician, I struggled to get a referral to a dermatologist. I went to a clinic, and a GP told me it was purely cosmetic and could not provide me with a referral.

"Fortunately, and timely, the Mole Mobile was in Ottawa on September 4, 2025. I attended, and the dermatologist immediately suspected the lesion to be Basal Cell Carcinoma."

Turning Grief into Action: Gillian’s Mole Mobile Experience.

An article written to honour Gillian's beautiful daughter ‘Tori’ Kaiser.

"In early 2025, Tori experienced a stiff neck and again visited her GP and was treated for 3 months with this diagnosis. Only after severe pain and very limited movement was an MRI ordered; resulting in the devastating diagnosis of metastatic melanoma in the C2 area. Five months later Tori passed away ...As her mother, I spent almost every day by her side. "

"Having such a qualified professional available to anyone, especially in small communities where there may not be a dermatologist, or in large communities where waiting times can be many months, is invaluable. If just one person can be spared the pain and agony of my Tori, the Mole Mobile is a great service for the community."

A Mole Mobile Patient Story ✨ A Spot That Wouldn’t Heal: Kitty’s Journey from Screening to Treatment.

"I had not been to a dermatologist in years. In the past, I had had one biopsy on my nose which turned out to be actinic keratosis. However, for a few months in 2025 I had a concern about a small spot on my nostril which was not healing."

"Dr. Kossintseva was lovely and looked at a mole, the problem spot I identified. She also spotted a suspected area on my neck. She then gave me a detailed copy of a form with diagram of her observations to give to my family doctor."

My Skin Care Journey: A Mole Mobile Story

"In July 2025, I saw a Facebook post about a Mole Mobile clinic coming to Wasaga Beach, about one-hour drive from my home. I had recently noticed a new area of concern on my forehead, so I decided to make the journey – good thing that I did.

At the Mole Mobile, I met with a Dermatologist and shared my history and concerns. After a careful assessment, six areas of concern were identified – three on my back that I could not see myself, and three on my face. Despite how busy the clinic was, time was taken to thoroughly examine my skin."
