Getting ready for your first physio session with Saurav? 👋 Here are a few quick tips to make the most of your visit:

1️⃣ Think about your goals. Are you here to relieve pain, prevent future injuries, or get ready for a specific sport or activity?
2️⃣ Plan your schedule. Most patients come 1 to 3 times a week depending on their condition and goals.
3️⃣ Be honest about your effort level. How much time can you really commit to exercises? There is no wrong answer because your physio will always meet you where you are.

Your first appointment is all about understanding your goals, creating a plan that works for you, and helping you start moving in the right direction. 💪

Make exercise a habit… without adding extra time ⏱️💪

It is the small moves that make a big difference:
🚶‍♀️ Take the stairs instead of the elevator
🦵 Do calf raises while brushing your teeth
🧘‍♂️ Stretch during TV commercials

Little habits like these keep your body moving, your joints happy, and your energy up all day long. 🙌

When most people think about posture, they imagine pulling their shoulders back and down.

But here’s the truth ⬇️

👉 Your shoulder blades aren’t meant to stay pinned in one place.

They’re designed to move forward, back, up, and down.

That’s where scapular protraction (pushing your shoulder blades forward) comes in. Strengthening it trains the serratus anterior muscle often called the “boxer’s muscle.”

💡 Why it matters:

Keeps your shoulder blades stable on your ribcage
Reduces strain on your neck and upper traps
Supports overhead movements without pain
Builds balance between pulling and pushing muscles

So posture isn’t about holding your shoulders back all day — it’s about having the strength and mobility to move well in every direction.

Strong serratus = strong posture.

Ever tried dry needling? 🤔

As physiotherapists, we often use it to help manage muscle tension and pain, especially in tight or overactive areas like the shoulder, back, or knee. 💪

By targeting specific trigger points, dry needling can help release tension, reduce pain, and make it easier to move comfortably again. And do not worry, the needles are super thin and nothing like injection needles. Most people barely feel them! 🙌

We may even add gentle electrical stimulation to help the muscles relax a little more.

Shockwave therapy is a clinic favorite because:

✅ Breaks up scar tissue & tight adhesions

✅ Speeds up healing in tendons, ligaments, and fascia

✅ Helps with chronic issues like plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, and shoulder pain

✅ Boosts circulation so your body can repair itself

✅ Non-invasive, drug-free, and quick

That’s why patients call it a game-changer relief where nothing else seemed to work.

September is International Pain Awareness Month 💙 Here are some reminders from your friendly physiotherapists:

Pain doesn’t always mean damage.
Movement is medicine.
Resting too much can actually make pain worse.
Stress, sleep, and emotions play a big role in how we feel pain.
And the best part? Pain is highly treatable.

💡 Know someone struggling with pain? Tag them below and remind them they don’t have to deal with it alone.

Having fun and staying active doesn’t have to mean risking injuries 🙌 Here are 4 things a physiotherapist would tell you to keep moving safely:

1️⃣ Warm up — Prep your muscles and joints before activity.

2️⃣ Stay strong — Strength training supports your joints and helps prevent strain.

3️⃣ Mix it up — Switch activities to avoid overuse injuries.

4️⃣ Respect pain — Pain is a signal, not something to ignore. It’s your body’s way of asking for attention.

Follow us for more ways to stay strong, safe, and moving well.
