The Goals of Facial Surgery:

1️⃣The goal is to provide a natural-looking result that doesn’t scream somebody had plastic surgery.

2️⃣It’s about hiding scars, and creating new scars with care.

3️⃣It’s about making sure you don’t shift positions of the face, such as the hairline too drastically.

4️⃣It’s about making people look, rejuvenated and refreshed - not like they’ve been through a wind tunnel.

5️⃣We want you to look like a younger version of yourself 10-15 years ago, not like somebody different.

✨ You’re never alone in this process - we’re with you every step of the way.

🌟Prepping For Your Surgery - Here’s What You Need To Know…

Feeling a little nervous before your procedure? That’s completely normal. Knowing how to prepare can help you feel calm and ready.

🥦 Eat a healthy, balanced diet rich in protein and vitamins.
💧 Stay hydrated - water is your best friend.
🍷 Cut out alcohol at least 1 week before - it can increase bleeding, bruising & swelling.
🚭 Stop smoking at least 1 month prior - and ideally, for good.
💊 Review all medications and supplements with your surgeon - some may need to be paused.
🧴 Ask about post-op skincare products and healing aids.
🛍️ Purchase and have any post-op garments ready (like a supportive bra after breast surgery).
🧑‍⚕️ Schedule any required blood work, physicals, or other tests.
🧑‍🎨 Depending on your procedure, consider a consult for post-op camouflage makeup.
🚗 Arrange a trusted friend or family member to take you to and from your surgery.
🏡 Prep your home: finish errands, chores, and prepare meals in advance.

✨ You’re never alone in this process - we’re with you every step of the way.

➡️Save this for when you’re preparing, or share it with someone planning their procedure soon.

🌸Did you know that Breast Reconstruction can be performed to rebuild the shape, symmetry and size of the breasts after surgery from breast cancer?

➡️In general, lumpectomy defects can often be corrected with a scar revision and fat transfer to the breast.

➡️For mastectomy defects, the most common option is to use your own tissue (a flap) or an implant.

➡️When your own tissue is used, it is called a “flap” and there are several options to consider. The lower abdomen usually presents the best option for women who had children, as it provides the best natural feel and appearance to the breast.

➡️In this setting, your surgeon would perform a DIEP flap that removes the lower abdominal skin and fat, but leaves all the muscles behind. Your surgeon then performs microsurgery to reconnect the flap to a blood vessel in the chest. However, not everyone is suitable for this surgery, and options from your back and thighs may also be discussed.

🌸BREAST RECONSTRUCTION BEFORE & AFTER:

🎀Did you know that Breast Reconstruction is customized for each patient, depending on their individual needs?

🌸BREAST RECONSTRUCTION BEFORE & AFTER:

🎀This patient had a Bilateral Breast Reconstruction immediately following her Ni**le Sparing Mastectomies.

🎀A “Skin-Paddle” was temporarily left in place to ensure that the underlying tissue had good blood supply.  The paddle of skin was removed a few months later.

🎀Scars are only a few months old and are expected to fade over time.
