Most people won’t hear about this, but it matters. 👍🏻
Bill S-243 is a Canadian bill focused on improving how we prevent and track cardiovascular disease.
Why does that matter for women? 🤔
Because for a long time, women, especially in midlife, have been overlooked when it comes to heart health.
Menopause is not just about symptoms.
It’s a shift in your body that can impact things like cholesterol, blood pressure, and overall cardiovascular risk. 💓
And yet… most women aren’t guided through that in a clear, practical way.
I personally visited the cardiologist because of fear based on heart, palpitations, racing heart and breathing issues, etc. I currently work with a cardiologist and have learned a lot.
This bill is pushing for:
• better data on women’s health
• more awareness
• earlier prevention
All good things. Long overdue.
But here’s the part that doesn’t get talked about enough:
Even when awareness improves, most women are still left asking
“Okay… what do I actually do with this?” 😵💫
You don’t need to diagnose anything to start taking your health seriously.
You need to understand what’s changing and have a plan that fits your life.
That’s where support matters.
That’s why I created StrongHer.
Not because of this bill, but because as more information becomes available, it can get overwhelming.
You don’t just need more information.
You need a way to make sense of it and actually use it.
And it’s also why I partnered with My Heart Fitness, a doctor-led program focused on improving cardiovascular health (and other health markers like cancer risk, mental health etc) in a way that’s practical, measurable, and sustainable.
Because knowing is one thing.
Actually doing something with it is another. 🎯
