I’m a WELLNESS & LIFESTYLE COACH that specializes in helping women through Perimenopause and Menopause, after advising your doctor or Holistic Practitioner. I’ve always been a body-positive advocate and self-love junkie! Attempting to prove to women that when you feel better you do better! I really want women to be proactive and support their bodies in a way that helps them get through “the change” in life. Allowing them to avoid or lessen the symptoms that come along with Perimenopause and Menopause. I figure out what your personal health and wellness issues are, how they intersect and how that may be diminishing your personal power & HORMONAL HEALTH. I have very unique credentials, such as being a NLP Practitioner, Transformation Specialist and Hormone Health Specialist, giving me the ability to help get clients through the changes we experience as women as well as help ditch limiting beliefs and create healthy habits that stick. I'm not void of body issues; physically, mentally and emotionally. After 31 years in the Health & Fitness industry, that’s what helped me and encouraged me to evolve to health coaching.

Most women don’t struggle in midlife because they’re doing something wrong. 🎯

They struggle because they’re trying to apply old rules to a new season.
Midlife asks for something different:
more clarity, more compassion,
and a way forward that actually fits real life now.

This isn’t about pushing harder or starting over. ♥️

It’s about understanding what your body is asking for — and responding with intention.

Reset. Rebuild. Repeat. ♥️

A grade 2 calf tear tests more than your body...
it tests your mindset.

It would’ve been easy to give up.
Instead, I shifted the goal.

Setbacks became feedback. ℹ️

Rebuilding became the objective, not the obstacle. ✔️

This is why goal-setting is crucial.
Because life isn’t linear.

You will fall off.
More than once.
Consistency isn’t about never falling....
it’s about knowing how to get back up. 👏🏻

At 55, sprinting with the U of T Masters Track Club hasn’t been easy.

But every rebuild is a reminder:
you’re not done unless you decide you are! 🏆

Night sweats and “why am I crying again?” moments make a lot of women feel like they’re losing control… 🤯

But you’re not.

Your body is moving through a hormonal shift that affects temperature regulation, sleep quality, and emotional processing.... all at once.

Here’s what most women were never told:

🔥 Night sweats aren’t random - they’re your brain trying (and failing) to regulate temperature as estrogen dips.
💧 Mood swings and sudden tears aren’t weakness - they’re your neurotransmitters reacting to hormonal fluctuations and disrupted sleep.
😵‍💫 And the two often feed each other. Poor sleep amplifies moodiness. Moodiness makes sleep harder.

❌You’re not dramatic.
❌You’re not unstable.
❌You’re not “too emotional.”

You’re going through a physiological change no one prepared you for.

And once you have clarity, you stop blaming yourself and start using strategies that actually help:
• calming your nervous system
• reducing sleep disruptors
• stabilizing your routines
• understanding why these symptoms happen

Clarity builds confidence.
Confidence builds consistency.
And consistency changes everything.

Midlife isn’t chaotic. What’s chaotic is the conflicting information, the fear-based marketing, and the pressure to fix everything at once. It’s no wonder women feel lost before they even begin.

But once the noise is stripped away, the path forward becomes obvious.

Perimenopause doesn’t ease in... it crashes the party. 😭

The stumble is real… but so is the comeback. 💪

I’ve been in the health, wellness, and fitness industry for most of my life, teaching others how to move, eat well, and take care of themselves.

So when perimenopause hit, I honestly thought I’d be fine.
But it hit hard.🤯

The years of extreme exercise, restrictive eating, and constant “push harder” mindset finally caught up to me. My body started sending signals I couldn’t ignore anymore.

Eventually, I had to take a big step back and really listen, to rest, to recover, to unlearn.

Now I’m years post-menopause, and the symptoms that once took me down are mostly gone. I’m a proud member of the U of T Masters Track Club and sprinting again, something I never imagined would be possible for me again. 🏃🏻‍♀️

To every woman going through it: I see you.

There’s light on the other side.
Sometimes, healing means letting go of who we were and embracing a whole new way of wellness. 🌸

Stop. Breathe. Be. 🧘🏻

We’ve all heard “stop and smell the roses”—but in menopause, it’s not just a poetic suggestion, it’s a nervous system necessity.

A few posts back, I shared how menopause changes the way our nervous system responds to stress. When estrogen dips, our stress resilience dips too, making it harder to stay calm, think clearly, and keep our body’s systems in sync. 👍🏻

Here’s the kicker: women are world-class at overfilling their schedules and feeling guilty for resting. But constant “go mode” is like running a marathon without water—it’s not sustainable, and your nervous system pays the price. 😵‍💫

Your best defence?

✨Make space for relaxing, soothing activities.

✨Prioritise real, restorative sleep.

✨Say “no” more often (without apology).

✨Ask for help when you need it.

✨Tune in to your body’s cues—and honour them.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do… is stop and smell the roses! 🌹🌹
