While the government has invested more in home care capacity, shortening long-term care waitlists and freeing up hospital beds, it can also help home care providers attract and retain staff by providing funding to increase their wages.

If you'd like to help make this a reality, please consider sending a letter to the Minister of Finance: https://buff.ly/wSsusiy

Have you ever tried sleeping in your car overnight during the winter? It's no easy task, but our IT Director, Mike, pulled it off like a champ. By participating in United Way Halton and Hamilton's 'Sleepless For Our Community' campaign, he sacrificed a night of warmth and comfort to raise awareness about the bleak reality of poverty, as well as over $1,500 that United Way Halton & Hamilton will use to reduce it!

Thank you Mike for committing to this, and thanks to everyone who helped raise the vital funds!
