All pharmacies ; independent, banner or chain , honour all drug plans electronically .

Coverage would be same regardless of the pharmacy but might differ according to the dispensing fee of the pharmay.

A pharmacist cannot figure out your coverage plan unless processing a medication .

Co-payment is set online by your drug plan and depends on the drug cost .

At Clear View Pharmacy, we honour all drug plans online , including refugees .

All pharmacies in Ontario ,with no exceptions, have an access to order their medications from two main licensed distributors. One pharmacy would usually have either of them as a main supplier .
There is no pharmacy that will have access for a specific prescription medication and another doesn’t.

But for some over the counter medications , sometimes it is different in terms of variety and price .
Some over the counter medications might be cheaper to get from one pharmacy over the other, depending on their source , buying price and policy .

Patient education tip #1

In light of the shortage of all infant/ children Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen, please note :

- if you don’t have any, reach out your pharmacist for alternatives, like acetaminophen suppositorie, tablets to crush and mix the needed dose with applesauce .

- all formulations can be adjusted for an infant or a child . Ex: infant Tylenol is 80 mg/ml and children Tylenol is 160mg/5ml. Reach out your pharmacist with the child’s weight and you will get the needed dose from the available formula .

- Pharmacies can compound liquid formula but stability is 14 days in fridge .
Your pharmacist would be able to compound or recommend a compounding pharmacy .
