At Boyd’s Pharmasave in downtown Halifax, gender-affirming and sexual health services are at the core of community care—not at the margins. The administration of gender- affirming hormones (e.g., testosterone and leuprolide injections) is as accessible as a medication review. On intake forms, all patients are asked their pronouns and gender identity.

Are you providing care for an aging loved one?

Researchers at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto are looking for pharmacists to participate in a study exploring the experiences of healthcare professionals who also serve as unpaid caregivers for aging loved ones.

The study aims to better understand the unique roles, challenges and support needs of healthcare professionals who balance their clinical responsibilities with unpaid caregiving. Findings will help inform more responsive supports, programs and policies aimed at improving the wellbeing of healthcare professionals in caregiving roles.

This theme for 2026: Enhancing Canadians’ experience with care and access to medication services (e.g., new service areas or delivery models, improving patient access, meeting the needs of under-served patients).
