For so many men, stress doesn’t look like overwhelm — it looks like irritability, shutting down, or anger. Not because they’re “angry people,” but because they were never given the tools or space to express anything softer.

If you’ve noticed anger showing up more often, it doesn’t mean you’re failing. It often means you’re carrying more than your nervous system can manage on its own.

This carousel breaks down why stress and anger are so closely tied, what signs to look for, and how men can build healthier ways to cope.

🌿 What a Day! 🌿

We had such a meaningful time at the Perinatal Wellbeing Event — connecting with parents, caregivers, and professionals all dedicated to supporting mental health and community care. 💛

Our Founder & Clinical Director, Jodi Rouah, was honored to share the stage as a Keynote Speaker alongside Annalisa Vicente, Life Coach and creator of the Thriving Mama Coaching Program. Together, they offered heartfelt insights on perinatal mental health, compassion, and community connection.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our Wellness Check-In Table to pause, reflect, and nurture your well-being. 🌿

Events like these remind us that every stage of the parenting journey deserves care, understanding, and support — and we’re so grateful to be part of this community. 💚

Winning feels great. Losing… not so much. 🎲
But both are part of growing, learning, and building resilience.

In child and teen therapy, we slow down these everyday moments — like games — to help kids:
✨ Explore what it feels like to win and lose
✨ Learn how to express emotions in safe ways
✨ Build confidence, patience, and self-esteem along the way

It might look like “just play,” but it’s actually powerful therapeutic work. 💡

At Counselling & Co., we offer child and teen therapy designed to give young people the tools and strategies they need to thrive — no matter what life throws their way.

This Movember, let’s talk about more than moustaches.

Too many men still feel pressure to “tough it out,” to stay quiet when life feels heavy. But strength isn’t silence — it’s being honest about what hurts and finding the courage to reach out.

Therapy isn’t about being broken. It’s about being human.
It’s a space to unpack stress, loss, fear, or loneliness — without judgment, and without having to hold it all in.

Together, we can shift the story.
Let’s make space for men’s mental health — in our conversations, our homes, and our communities. 💙

🎢 ADHD isn’t just about focus — emotions can be part of the ride too.

From big feelings that flood in fast 💥 to impulsive reactions ⚡ and even feeling crushed by criticism 💔 … emotional regulation challenges are a real (and often hidden) part of ADHD.

The good news? You’re not “too much.” 🧡 These challenges are tied to how the ADHD brain processes emotions — and with the right support, they can be managed with self-compassion and practical tools.

✨ Our ADHD therapy services are here to help you build coping strategies, boost emotional resilience, and feel more understood in your journey.

Today is World Menopause Day! 📣
A day to raise awareness and support women’s health and well-being — a much-needed cause. Women live, on average, six years longer than men and make up 51% of the population. It’s time to shift the conversation and research to include women’s health, hormones, and overall well-being.

At Counselling & Co., we’re proud to support this cause by creating space to talk about the physical, emotional, and social changes women experience during peri/menopause. Every woman will go through perimenopause, and we’re here to help make that journey one of understanding, care, and connection.

Following the success of our recent Peri-WHAT-now? workshop series, we’re thrilled to invite you to another free virtual session — this time with Meru Parmar, a Medical Herbalist passionate about holistic wellness and the everyday wisdom of plants.

📆 When: October 21, 2025 (12:00–1:00 pm)
💻 Where: Virtual (Zoom)
💰 Cost: Free

👉 Register here: https://www.counsellingandco.com/peri-what-now-lunch-laugh-repeat

Whether you joined a past session or are tuning in for the first time, everyone is welcome!

In this session, Meru will explore the physical symptoms of perimenopause and how our bodies respond to these natural changes. With her warm, practical approach, she’ll share simple, household, plant-based remedies to ease discomfort, restore balance, and support self-care. You’ll leave with accessible, natural tools to nurture your well-being through perimenopause and beyond.
