February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, and it’s an important reminder that harm doesn’t always end when a relationship does.

Breakup violence can be emotional, psychological, digital, or physical and it often goes unnoticed or unspoken, especially for teens and young adults who may feel scared, ashamed, or unsure of what’s “normal.”

This carousel highlights some of the quieter signs and why support matters.
🧠 If this resonates, we invite you to read our blog: “Not Just Over: The Silent Threat of Breakup Violence.”

At Counselling & Co., we offer individual counselling to support teens and young adults in healing, rebuilding trust, and learning what safe, respectful relationships truly look like.

🎙️ Podcast Feature Spotlight 🎙️
We’re excited to share that Stephanie Chimienti, RP, MA was recently featured on the Family Therapy Express podcast, hosted by Kathryn de Bruin, LMFT and Ronda Evans, LMFT.

In this episode, Leaning into Children’s Angry Feelings: The Why and the How, Stephanie explores how anger and aggression show up in the therapy room, and why these emotions deserve curiosity, compassion, and thoughtful support rather than fear or shutdown.

Together, they unpack:
• Why children’s anger often makes adults uncomfortable
• How aggression can be a form of communication
• What it looks like to stay regulated, connected, and responsive when big feelings show up

This conversation is a must-listen for parents, caregivers, and clinicians who want to better understand and support children through their most challenging emotions.

When you’re struggling with depression, even the “small things” can feel heavy.
And sometimes, knowing where to start is the hardest part.

This carousel breaks down 5 supportive, realistic ways to care for your mental health; from building connection, to creating gentle routines, to reducing overwhelm when everything feels like too much.

These aren’t quick fixes or pressure-filled solutions.
They’re reminders that support can look simple, human, and doable.

✨ Self-care matters, but depression isn’t something you’re meant to handle on your own.
Working with a therapist can help you make sense of what you’re feeling and find support that actually fits your life.

Read the full blog on our website to explore these strategies in more depth, or reach out if you’re ready for support.
You don’t have to navigate this alone. 💛
