Although probably not what you’d want to hear, dissolving and starting from scratch is the best way to correct ‘duck face’ or ‘lip filler moustache’ and achieve a more seamless look.
Lip filler migration can occur for many different reasons including your own anatomy, but some of the most common include:
1. Volume ➡️ Too much volume added to an area that cannot hold that product results in an overfilled look.
2. Repetitive movements ➡️ Every time you speak, smile, chew, drink through a straw 😉 etc. you run a risk of moving product from the initial location it was placed.
3. Frequency ➡️ Topping up filler in the same area too often can also result in volume excess.
4. Injector technique ➡️ The technique utilized by your practitioner, and the depth at which they inject could absolutely result in filler migrating.
