How does massage therapy help with stress?
Of course, there are many ways massage can help with physical alignments. However, it is beneficial for our mental well-being! Massage helps relieve tension and improve circulation. This physical manipulation helps release endorphins, which is the body's natural feel-good chemical, promoting a sense of well-being and reduces feelings of stress and anxiety.
The calming environment can help contribute to the sense of relaxation with the space, music, etc.
It is also encouraged and OK to not talk during a massage!!!
It doesn't have to be a light relaxation massage to feel the benefits of relaxing and letting go of daily stresses.
Like exercise, it's best to be consistent. Space out your massages through the year instead of waiting until you're in pain or overwhelmed. Don't wait until the end of the year to frantically use up your benefits.
