This immersive drumming circle workshop is a guided rhythmic journey designed to support intention, release stress, and restore balance through sound and community connection. Drawing on multiple drumming traditions and therapeutic rhythm practices, the session unfolds in three intentional phases.
The workshop begins with intention setting and meditative drumming, using steady, grounding rhythms to help participants arrive fully in their bodies, calm the nervous system, and set a personal intention for the experience. Buffalo drums and gentle percussion support a reflective, inward-focused atmosphere.
The second phase transitions into energizing, stress-relieving drumming, where participants are invited into more vigorous, playful, and expressive rhythms. Djembes and tubanos are introduced to encourage movement, release tension, and foster a sense of shared vitality and joy within the group.
The experience concludes with a gentle rhythm cradle (sound-bath–style) drumming, offering deep relaxation and integration. Soft, enveloping rhythms from the buffalo drum and subtle percussion create a supportive sonic container, allowing participants to rest, receive, and absorb the benefits of the journey.
No prior drumming experience is required. All drums and percussion instruments are provided. This workshop is well suited for yoga practitioners seeking a complementary practice that enhances mindfulness, emotional release, and embodied awareness through rhythm and sound.
