‘Gratitude is an invitation to experience a different way of seeing our world’

Gratitude is one of the most powerful tools you can implement in your daily life. You experience gratitude when you feel thankful or appreciative for something you have received or are about to receive. Expressing gratitude can create an elevated state of mind for the person experiencing the moment of appreciation. Acknowledging the positive things in your life will crate a strong, dependable core from which you can experience a growing sense of gratitude.

Published in 2021 – this decks aim is to align you with the energy of gratitude so you can realize its power to transform your life. Your understanding or expression of gratitude from your response to the images on the cards could be particularly healing and help bring a greater sense of calm and tranquility, even overall wellbeing including more happiness in your life. All in all the deck can help you remember to express thanks for the things in life you take for granted. ‘Remember not everything is as it appears. Adopting an attitude of gratitude can energetically shift your perspective to one that is more positive!’ (~ Angela Hartfield) Thus, Gratitude opens you to new possibilities!

Today's Card; 8. Kind-Hearted

Being thoughtful, friendly and open will help you be more compassionate. Practicing kindness is the groundwork for lifting your thoughts into positivity and hope. Showing kindness through actions, words and attitude reduces the stress hormones produced in your brain.

Set aside a few minuets each day to imagine a situation in which someone you care about needs your help. Envision their concerns, worry or stress. Include as many troubling factors as you can. By doing this exercise, you will develop an appreciation for the challenges faced by your loved ones. In turn, you will foster empathy for those you know less well. You can also use this activity to increase your compassion for yourself. After imagining how you would care for a friend or loved one, decide to care for yourself in the same manner. You deserve to treat yourself in a kind-hearted way.

Think of kind gestures that you can offer others each day, such as sharing a compliment or a positive word. After a while, you will have created a habit of acting empathetically. Also, practice acknowledging when something kind is done for you by voicing your gratitude. Saying thank you may not appear like a big deal, but genuine gratitude shows that the kindness has not gone unnoticed. Showing appreciation helps improve your wellbeing and that of your relationships.

A beautiful tree deva listens intently to a robin redbreast. A skirt of colorful flowers adorns the young sprit. A multitude of stars fills the night sky behind them. Robins are a symbol of springtime and may bear some insight on timing. They also represent warmth, good feelings and love. Breathing is information. The more stressed you feel, the faster you breathe, and your brain will notice this and read it as a signal that things are not going well. That fast, shallow breathing which happens when you’re stressed is effectively telling your brain that you’re running from a lion. But the reverse of this rule is also true: if you breathe slowly, you’re giving your brain a signal that you’re in a place of calm. You will start to feel less stressed. Studies have even shown that the right kind of breathing can reduce our perception of pain. Both the pace at which you breathe and how deeply you breathe change your stress response. If all you do for one minute is slow your breathing down and aim for six breaths (one breath is in and out) in that minute, it will reduce the stress state and stimulate the thrive state. ~ Dr Rangan Chatterjee.
