Something I’ve shifted my focus to when trying to adjust my habits is the process of adding in versus taking away.

Right before summer is usually the time of crash dieting where we take away everything we usually eat, leaving us feeling deprived, causing us to fail.

With this shift in mindset, you’re adding in something good to your routine - maybe it’s more protein, an extra serving of veg, or in my case, greens after dinner.

Adding in better choices not only helps you feel better and accomplished, but you’ll want to continue making more nutritious choices for yourself.

At Poise by Kelly, I only use products that I trust enough to use on my own skin. All of the skincare I work with is medical-grade, formulated with high-quality ingredients and minimal impurities — no heavy fragrances or unnecessary fillers.

These products are designed to support a wide range of skin types and concerns, including dry, dehydrated, oily, acne-prone, combination, sensitive, and reactive skin.

I also don’t believe in “one size fits all” facials. I’m a very particular esthetician, and every treatment I do is customized.

Once you’re here, I start with a thorough skin analysis to understand exactly what your skin needs. From there, I tailor the facial and products specifically for you so your skin gets the care it truly deserves.

hi, i’m kelly

I was born in the United States and graduated with a Business Degree in 1997 from the University of Tennessee. I always had an interest in running a business of my own with the dream of helping others.

When I moved to Canada in 2000, I started a family of my own and was blessed with a beautiful daughter and an amazing son. After the move and time spent raising my kids, I began a journey into fitness and health.

I now draw upon 15 years in this field which began as a Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer and Nutrition and Wellness Specialist. After working at a couple of gyms in Calgary, I decided to branch out and started a gym of my own.​

I then moved to Okotoks and was invited to a seminar regarding esthetics. I was immediately hooked and decided to attend the Esthetic Institute of Calgary and became certified and received honors while mastering specialties of the Skincare and Beauty industry. Since then I began Poise by Kelly, a business that allows me to incorporate all my passions to help people feel great from head to toe.
