Not every service is the right fit, and that’s okay.

Recently, someone came in asking about permanent makeup. After listening to her concerns and taking a close look at her skin, I knew deep down it wasn’t the right option for her. I could’ve gone ahead with the service, but it wouldn’t have been in her best interest.

So instead, I told her the truth.

This work isn’t just about delivering results. It’s about building trust. Being honest. Treating people the way I’d want to be treated. Even when that means saying, this isn’t for you right now.

Integrity matters in business and in life. And I believe that being real with people is always the best service I can offer.

The older I get, the more I realize how precious time is, and how easily it slips through our fingers when we’re not paying attention.

We don’t always get to choose what happens, but we do get to choose how we spend our time. Who we give it to. What we focus on. How we show up — for others and for ourselves.

Not every day is easy. Not every choice is clear. But if we can move through life with intention, even just a little, we start to live in a way that feels more honest. More aligned. More full.

Time and choices. That’s all we really have. Let’s try to be gentle and wise with both.

hi, i’m kelly

I was born in the United States and graduated with a Business Degree in 1997 from the University of Tennessee. I always had an interest in running a business of my own with the dream of helping others.

When I moved to Canada in 2000, I started a family of my own and was blessed with a beautiful daughter and an amazing son. After the move and time spent raising my kids, I began a journey into fitness and health.

I now draw upon 15 years in this field which began as a Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer and Nutrition and Wellness Specialist. After working at a couple of gyms in Calgary, I decided to branch out and started a gym of my own.

I then moved to Okotoks and was invited to a seminar regarding esthetics. I was immediately hooked and decided to attend the Esthetic Institute of Calgary and became certified and received honors while mastering specialties of the Skincare and Beauty industry. Since then I began Poise by Kelly, a business that allows me to incorporate all my passions to help people feel great from head to toe.
