It's a Funny Face Friday! 🥸

Our residents from Mount View Lodge and Aspen Ridge Lodge came together for a friendly game of Lane Bowling recently, and the facial expressions were absolutely priceless! From excitement and big celebrations to a little disgust/frustration over those tricky shots 😂 and a lot of happiness all around!

At each of our lodges, we hold regular resident meetings led by our Site General Managers and Activity Coordinators! 🏡💬

These meetings are a key part of how we keep residents informed and involved. We talk about upcoming events, share important updates about services or processes, and most importantly, we listen.

It’s a chance for residents to bring forward questions, comments, or concerns directly to lodge leadership. Open communication and resident feedback help us continue to provide a safe, supportive, and thriving home for everyone. 💛

We know it doesn't look much like spring outside today, but INSIDE at Mount View Lodge in Olds, the residents are enjoying these little fluffy, sweet spring chicks! 🐣

Each spring, our friends at Rochester Hatchery send some eggs to the lodge to incubate and hatch, right before our residents' eyes.💙 What a special way to welcome the new spring season!

Exciting News! 📣🦖

Mountain View Seniors’ Housing is thrilled to announce that we have secured the purchase of the 145,000 lb iconic Drumheller T-Rex and have relocated it to the courtyard at our Sundre Seniors’ Supportive Living Facility. After years of our maintenance team bravely battling persistent deer, flower theft, and the occasional lawn “surprise,” we knew it was time for a bold solution. We’re confident this newest addition to our grounds will serve as an effective deer deterrent while also providing some very impressive early morning shade for our residents.

This week, our Chief Administrative Officer, Stacey Stilling, was invited to speak with a classroom of Business Management students at the Olds College of Agriculture & Technology about leadership, ethics, and what that looks like in the world of private for-profit AND non-profit industries.

There were excellent conversations about the future for these aspiring business leaders, and we think it's safe to say that the future looks pretty bright if this group is leading the charge! 👏

Spring was definitely in the air for some of our residents at Aspen Ridge Lodge. They went on an adventure at Maschke Farms yesterday! 🌿🐑

Our residents enjoyed an afternoon filled with fresh willows, visits with the sheep and lambs, and a true farm-to-table taste of spring with lamb meatballs and fresh gooseberries!

It was a good afternoon outdoors, with great company, and a fantastic way to welcome that sweet spring sunshine! Thank you to Michelle Maschke for laying out the "non-slip" pink carpet for the residents and sharing your gorgeous property with us!

🍀 Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍻

Fun fact: St. Patrick wasn’t actually Irish! He was born in Britain and was originally named Maewyn Succat before later taking the name Patrick. Kind of wild for the patron saint of Ireland, right?

Celebrating 587 years of wisdom at Mount View Lodge! 💙👏

Today, March 16, 2026, we honoured Frank (97), Ida (97), Raymond (97), David (98), Harriet (98), and last but not least, Louise (100) with a very special birthday celebration. These photos capture only a few of the afternoon’s many meaningful moments, including the annual cake cutting by the guests of honour themselves, and heartfelt remarks and gifts from Town of Olds Mayor Dan Daley! What a fantastic morning at Sundre Seniors’ Supportive Living for our annual “Ice is Right” Floor Curling Bonspiel! 🥌

Eight spirited teams of residents faced off in some incredibly close games, many decided by just 1 or 2 points right down to the final shot! Congratulations to Joe and Barb, winners of the A Event for the second year in a row, and to Teresa and Lee for taking home the Consolation Event win!

We'd also like to share a huge thank-you to our wonderful volunteers and amazing activities staff for organizing and running this fun-filled morning for our residents. Your enthusiasm and hard work make events like this such a success. ❤️

Until next year’s bonspiel... Keep your brooms ready!
