This week, our Aspen Ridge Lodge residents welcomed their families for a fun afternoon of Beach Bingo… where the Bingo BITES BACK! In honour of Jaws’ 50th anniversary this year, they celebrated this iconic film, first released on June 20, 1975, which has since become a true cinematic classic.

These residents are going to need a bigger boat! 🦈🚣😆

Our Chinook Winds Lodge residents enjoyed a sunny trip to the Ellis Nature Centre just east of Blackfalds, earlier this week. They toured the grounds and finished with a delicious dessert in the tea house! The Centre is a beautiful space dedicated to conserving and protecting nature through research and education.

A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to ACL Manufacturing for once again hosting an incredible BBQ Lunch and Show & Shine at our Sundre Seniors Supportive Living Facility today!

This amazing family business has generously planned and hosted this special day for our residents year after year, and we are so grateful for their community spirit and pride! They provide everything from delicious food to cheerful hospitality for both our residents and staff. This is one of the most anticipated days of the year for our Sundre residents.

Our Sundre residents had a wild day at Innisfail's Discovery Wildlife Park! They took in the bear show, enjoyed a picnic lunch, and cruised through the park, soaking up the sights and sounds of the animals and natural surroundings. 🐻💙☀️

Our Site General Manager; Jessica was even brave enough to sit with "Boss" the grizzly bear, for a special picture!

A HUGE thank you to our amazing volunteers and the Sundre Community Van for getting our residents to and from their outings safely—we couldn’t do it without you!

🎉 65 Days of Celebration – Day 29 💙

There’s a common misconception that seniors' homes are quiet, sleepy places, but at MVSH, that couldn’t be further from the truth! Today’s Legacy Tree message says it all: “Life is great here… we are busy ALL the time with games and entertainment!”

Thanks to our incredible Activity Coordinators, there’s always something going on—from bingo and live music to crafts, theme parties, outings, and more. Whether residents want to relax or get involved, there’s truly something for everyone.

Many Lodge residents come to us unsure of what to expect—but time and time again, we hear the same thing: “This feels like home.”

Today’s Legacy Tree message reflects just that. For one resident, moving into MVSH meant discovering a sense of comfort, belonging, and connection they didn’t think was possible again.

It’s often the little things—friendly faces, familiar routines, shared laughter, and caring staff—that make the biggest difference. We’re proud that our lodges don’t just provide a place to live, but a place to feel at home.
