Our residents and their Activity Coordinators have been hard at work prepping their amazing Scarecrows for the 2nd Annual MVSH Scarecrow Challenge! 🌾

🎉 65 Days of Celebration – Day 35 💙

We're back with another Legacy Tree leaf to share from our Aspen Ridge Lodge Legacy Tree (set up for the duration of 2025 in honour of our 65th Anniversary!) This is a reminder that age never stands in the way of joy, learning, or new adventures. Every day brings opportunities to grow, connect, and embrace life in meaningful ways.

What a great looking group! The Sundre Community Van is our GO TO mode of transportation in the Sundre community! We can always count on them to get our residents to and from their outings safely!

What a great ride today with the Seniors from the Lodge. Lunch in Spuceview..and a visit to the Bakery next store...then a drive over the Dickinson Dam and the back roads back home.
It was a bit of a slower trip than usual but we had a precious load on board.
Love doing these trips.

🎉 65 Days of Celebration – Day 34 💙

Every September, our Lodges run mock evacuation drills to make sure residents and staff are ready for anything. This time, it was Aspen Ridge Lodge in Didsbury putting their preparedness to the test. With fewer staff available than usual, the team still pulled together and carried out a smooth, successful evacuation. After all, real emergencies aren’t planned—so it was reassuring to see how well they managed with a few less hands on deck!

🎉 65 Days of Celebration – Day 33 💙

Every September, for as long as we can remember, our Lodges have conducted mock evacuation drills with the residents to ensure the utmost emergency preparedness!

Today's drill was at our Mount View Lodge in Olds. Referred to as a "well-oiled machine", this team worked amazingly together to get the residents down to the dining room muster point (just in time for ice cream)!

Here's how a couple of our lodges celebrated! Afternoon walks for ice cream with the residents at Mount View Lodge, and a unique drumming circle with the residents from Chinook Winds Lodge... There is ALWAYS something happening at the lodge! 💙😎
