Caregiving can take many forms. It can look like helping a parent, supporting a partner, or caring for a child or family member. It’s often done quietly and over time, it can take a toll.

That’s why it’s important to check in with yourself and recognize the signs of burnout. Caregiver burnout is a state of physical, emotional and mental exhaustion resulting from prolonged, chronic stress. Key symptoms include:

➡️Constant fatigue
➡️ Sleep disruptions
➡️ Irritability and hopelessness
You don’t have to carry it all on your own. Your PCN is here to support you and the people you care for.
From mental health support to connecting you with local programs and resources, your PCN can help you stay on top of your own health while you care for others.

Feeling a little off today? ⏰ The time change can disrupt your body’s internal clock, leaving many people feeling tired or low on energy. As you adjust this week, small habits can help your body get back on track.

Try keeping a consistent bedtime tonight, getting outside for some daylight, moving your body during the day and limiting caffeine later in the afternoon. These simple sleep hygiene habits can help restore your energy and support better sleep.

Taking care of your sleep is an important part of your overall health. If you need support, start the conversation with your primary care team.
