Just over two years ago I began my journey towards health and wellness, physically and emotionally. To gain control over my physical health I knew I needed to lose a significant amount of weight, so I joined WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers). I am proud t
o say I have shed over 80 pounds and am well on my way to reaching my goal weight. Emotional wellness was a whole different ball game and so much more of a challenge. I needed to find a way to quiet my mind. I needed a break from the constant racing of thoughts and negativity that I was putting myself through. I began with journaling, I found it helpful to write down what was going on in my head. I began practicing quiet meditations, another way I am learning how to calm my mind. I began to use exercise as an outlet. Not long into the process I started to notice that I was happier, calmer, I felt a strong sense that this is who I was meant to be all along. Thatβs when my creative juices started flowing. I feel like they had been stagnant for so many years, but I knew that I was craving a new hobby. After watching a few YouTube videos, I began painting stones and soon discovered that my little hobby was serving me in so many ways...
I have learned so many things along the way, but the most significant revelation for me was how interconnected my mindset was to every aspect of my life, including my weight. Once I learned how to calm my mind, truly enjoy the peace, and live in positivity...that's when I really began to love myself and the woman I have become. This page is a result of that learning, a by-product of how I choose to find calm and joy. With the encouragement of some very dear friends, Serenity Stones was born. I hope they bring you as much happiness and peace as they bring me.
